Saturday, June 26th.

CVCC Cruise to Havre de  Grace.  On Saturday, June 26th, CVCC is going to "Cruise" to Havre de Grace, MD, for a fun day with our friends and Corvettes!  While this event is a "Cruise", we're going to throw in some "Chance Rallye" aspects to make sure that the Navigators don't fall asleep!

The route is set...89 of the 91 miles will be scenic back roads where we can really enjoy our cars!  We will meet at 8:00am on June 26th in the parking lot across the road from the Deer Lodge on PA Route 34 on the South side of Mount Holly Springs.

At 8:15am we will conduct a Driver's Meeting to go over the rules of the "chance rallye" that is part of the Cruise, issue maps, provide route instructions, and cover final any administrative items.  We will depart promptly at 8:30am.  We should arrive at the Tidewater Grille around 11:15am where we will have lunch that you order off their regular menu. Don't fret...there will be one "pit stop" en route to get rid of that morning coffee!   If you want to preview the restaurant and their menu, go to www.thetidewatergrille.com .

After lunch we will present awards to the winners of the Chance Rallye and provide final details and directions for the many things you can do on your own or in groups that afternoon in and around Havre de Grace.  Go to www.hdgtourism.com to check out all the great activities and destinations in Havre de Grace.

Sit back and listen to some great music at the Summertime Blues Festival (2:00-8:00pm at the Steppingstone Museum grounds), tour the Decoy and Maritime Museums (see how they carve/paint decoys and construct wooden boats), or go harvest oysters on the Skipjack Martha Lewis, the last of the old wooden sail oyster boats (reservations recommended....cost and departure times can be found at the website), walk the Promenade, or shop the quaint downtown near the water.  Start planning your afternoon, now!  For those of you who want to stay the night, there is plenty of lodging and evening activity....hit the "Where to Stay" tab on the website for lodging options. This will be a "Rain or Shine" event.  (50)
