Thursday, October 1st.  

Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM.  (PA-100) 

 

Friday, October 2nd.   

East Pennsboro HS Homecoming at 7 PM.  Seven Corvettes are needed.  (50)

 

Friday, October 2nd.   

Cumberland Valley HS Homecoming at halftime.  Ten Corvettes are needed.  (50)

 

Friday, October 2nd.   

Big Spring HS Homecoming.  Ten Corvettes are needed.  (50)

 

Wednesday, October 7th.   

West York HS Homecoming.  Seven Corvettes are needed.  6:15 PM.  (50)

 

Saturday, October 10th.   

CVCC Concours at Lawrence Chevrolet.  It will be "Good Old Days 2" as CVCC presents a Corvette Fun Show.  Pre-registration is easy.  Simply mail your Name, Year of Corvette and a $15 check (payable to CVCC) to:  CVCC-LS, PO Box 1008, Mechanicsburg, PA  17055.  If you enter by October 5th, your name will be tossed into a hat from which three winners will each receive $50.  On the day of the event, registration runs from 7 AM till 10 AM.  The show will run from 10 AM until 4 PM.  Awards will be presented at 3 PM.  During the day there will be door prizes, a silent auction and other surprises.  Entry fee is $15 on day of event.  The show is sponsored by Lawrence Chevrolet and presented by CVCC.  It will be held on the grounds of Lawrence Chevrolet, 6445 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA  17055.  (PA-75)

Saturday, October 10th.   

CVCC Fall Cruise  to Renovo.  This will be the 61st anniversary of the Flaming Foliage Festival and Parade in Renovo, PA.  Please contact J. Paul for additional information.  Meet at the Ranch House restaurant (north of the 322/15 interchange) for an 8:00 AM departure and caravan to Renovo.  Additional details will be provided after you sign up.  (50)

 

Saturday, October 17th.   

Shippensburg University Homecoming.  E. Hare will chair this event.  Please contact him if you can donate your time.  Ship has requested 25 Corvettes for their football homecoming.  Meet at the Hare's for breakfast at 8:00 AM.  We need to be staged at 9:15 AM.  The parade starts at 10:15 AM.  (50) 

 

Saturday, October 17th.   

Dillsburg Farmer's Fair Parade.  M. Strayer will chair this event.  Please contact him if you wish to join the club in this annual trek through the streets of Dillsburg.  A group of Vettes will meet at Kohl's in Carlisle at 5:00 PM to caravan to Dillsburg.  Otherwise, meet in town and be in place by 6:00 PM.  (50) 

 

Tuesday, October 20th.   

Monthly CVCC Board meeting starting at 7:00 PM.  This will be at Hoss's Steak and Sea in Mechanicsburg.

 

Saturday, October 24th.  

Teen Driving School has been postponed until Spring 2010.

 

Saturday, October 31st.   

CVCC Wine Tour.   Skip will again lead us around this examination of the grape and its transformation into liquid.  Meet at the Carlisle Fairgrounds Gate #1 at 9:30 AM.  The first winery is in York County.  Call Skip to meet at the winery if you prefer.  (50)
