Thursday, August 6th.  

Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM.  (PA-100)

Saturday, August 8th.     

Adams County Winery is having a concert from 1 PM to 5 PM featuring "Billy Hedrick Band" who plays 50's and 60's music.  There is no admission.  CVCC is reserving a tent that day for $150.  We have over 17 cars signed up, so we will split the cost.  Directions:  Get off Interstate 81 at Exit 20 (Scotland).  Go south on Route 997.  Turn into the Chambersburg Mall.  Be there by 11:30 AM so we can caravan to the event together.  Even if you do not sign up, please come anyway.  The money will be collected at the event.  (50)  

Saturday, August 15th.     

Mini Grand Prix at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.   THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.

Sunday, August 16th.     

American Cancer Society - Chambersburg Chapter's Relay for Life is hosting a First Annual Car Show "Cruizin For A Cure" at Greencastle Sportsmen's Grounds in Greencastle, PA, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  There will be a $10 donation to enter.  Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 entrants.  For additional information, click on Cruizin For A Cure.  (50)

Tuesday, August 18th.   

Monthly CVCC Board meeting starting at 7:00 PM.  This will be at Hoss's Steak and Sea in Mechanicsburg.

Saturday, August 22nd.   

Cruise In from 10 AM to 2 PM at Sutliff Chevrolet, 1251 Paxton Street (13th & Paxton), Harrisburg.  There will be a special display of club member's Corvettes on the showroom floor and also the first look at the 2010 Corvette.  In additiion, Sutliff will be giving away dash plaques and door prizes.  There will be a live radio broadcast.    Event fee is $15 per car, and you will receive two chicken dinners (prepared by the Halifax Fire Department) as part of the fee.  Proceeds from the Drive In will support the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.  All you need to do is show up for this event.   CVCC will organize a tour of Troegs Brewery after lunch.  We will leave our cars at the event and walk two blocks to it.  A sign up sheet will be circulated at the August membership meeting.  Sign up is not required by Sutliff, but CVCC needs a head count to organize the brewery tour.  (50)

Saturday, August 22nd.   

Cruise In at Nissley.  "Pentagon" is at Nissley and several club members intend to be there to enjoy the music and wine.  No time announced.  (50)

Tuesday, August 25^th.   

Race Car Reunion Track Day at Summit Point   We have been asked by Lance Miller of Carlisle Productions to run a Race Car Reunion Track Day at Summit Point. We have been given the use of the Jefferson Circuit (the big track) for this event. We could use about 20 CVCC members to work this event. Carlisle Production will advertise the event.  Motel rooms are available at the Hampton Inn at Inwood, just off I-81 in West Virginia, for $85 per night per room.  A link to the Hampton Inn web site is: (http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/reservations/index.jhtml?hotel=MBGINHX&corporateCode=0560076631.  Alternatively, you can call the Hampton Inn directly at 304-229-6677 to reserve a room and ask them for the Summit Point rate.  (200)

Wednesday, August 26^th.   

Help setup the club trailer for Corvettes at Carlisle at 5:00 PM.  (50)

August 28^th, 29^th & 30^th.   

Corvettes at Carlisle.   CVCC will have its trailer there.  Bring a chair.  See Mike for registration forms for the Downtown Carlisle Parade (now $30)) and EJ for reservations to Market  Cross Pub after the parade.  The club will have its reservation set for 6:30 PM at Market Cross Pub.  Please see the hostess upon your arrival to be seated.  Both the parade and Market Cross Pub are on Saturday night.  (50; 50; 50)

Friday, August 28^th.   

CVCC Practice AutoX at Corvettes at Carlisle.  CVCC will conduct a practice session for anyone at Corvettes at Carlisle.  The session will run 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  If you can help, workers will be needed.  (50)

Sunday, August 30^th.   

CVCC AutoX at Corvettes at Carlisle.  This event will start at 10:00 AM.  Workers will be needed at 8:00 AM for this event.  (50)
