4th,

The meeting was called to
order by President, J. Priestner.
With no corrections to the
August Club minutes a motion was made by S. Walter and
seconded by M. Hurley to accept the minutes as reported.
Treasurers Report
was given by G.
Miller. He reminded the membership that dues are now due. A
motion to accept the report was made by R. Wolf and seconded
by D. Puerzer.
Governors Report was
given by Dave.
Dave went over the various
upcoming events both NCCC and local. (
Please see the clubs web page or the events calendar in
newsletter for more details).
Vice Presidents Report:
Was given by B.
Bowen. He recognized the birthdays and anniversaries for
September.

Graham Motors Fun Show:
Marlin thanked everyone who helped to make the show a
success. A motion by Marlin to present $700 to the Elks Home
Association. Seconded by D. Walter. Motion passed.
Sgt. Major Steven Hornbach:
Sgt. Major Hornback was
called to serve in Iraq before he could attend his first and
second meetings and the club voted to pay for his dues for
the year 2008. On Sunday afternoon at Corvettes of Carlisle,
Sgt. Major presented a U.S. Flag that had flown over the
National Headquarters building in Iraq on December 15, 2007
to CVCC, In appreciation of the support of the solders
serving in the armed forces.
A motion was made by B. Bowen
that CVCC continue to pay for Sgt. Major Hornbacks
membership as long as he is on active duty status with the
military. Motion passed by membership.
September 6, 2008:
Fun at the Drags, J. Fusco. To be rescheduled due to
impending wet weather.
September 14, 2008:
B. Sangrey reported that the cruise to several garages and
will benefit the Chip Miller Foundation. Tickets are being
sold and the winner will get to ride in one of Chip Millers
Corvettes.
September 20, 2008:
Fun show at H & H, Shippensburg. Ed and Mary reported
that baked goods are needed. Applications are on the tables
for registration. Lots of fun and special events planned.
September 27, 2008:
G. Miller talked about the Ulysses Cruise and parade. See
him if interested.
October 11, 2008:
Lawrence Chevrolet Show.
Lawrence is paying for the
trophies and will be giving a gift bag to all entrees. A
motion was made
by D. Walter for the club to
purchase additional bags and give one to each person
participating
in the Fall Foliage Festival.
The motion was seconded by Deb Warner and passed.
October 11, 2008:
Fall Foliage Festival. J. Paul reported that 35 cars are
needed.
October 18, 2008:
Farmers Fair Parade - Dillsburg. M. Strayer said that those
who want to participate
Should be at Lefever Brothers
Chevrolet by 6:30 - 7:00 pm. Cars should be decorated and
everyone should have a fun time.
Homecomings:
A discussion followed if a set amount should be raised to
$15.00 for each cars participation. The original motion was
rescinded and no voting was needed. It will remain a
donation and that our charity of choice is Spina Bifida. A
suggested amount would be at least $10.00 per car if ask.
November 1, 2008:
Winery Tour. S. Gutshall will have more information to
follow.

Board Meeting
September
16th,
2008
The board met
at Hoss’s Steak and Seafood Resturant, Mechanicsburg.
President J. Priestner opened the meeting with a moment of
silence in memory of John Watts.
OLD BUSINESS:
September 14, 2008 - Garage
Tours: Jack stated that this was a incredible tour and
Bill did an outstanding job.
September 20, 2008 - H and
H Show:
Ed and Mary everything is in
order for show.
September 27, 2008 -
Ulysses, Pa.: Gary and Bill have everything in order.
October 11, 2008 - Lawrence
Chevrolet Show: Bags have been ordered and food wagon is
scheduled.
October 11, 2008- Fall
Foliage Festival: J. Paul will have more information at
the October meeting.
October 18, 2008- Farmer’s
Fair Parade - Dillsburg:
M. Strayer will have more
information.
Nomination for Officers:
Additional nominations will be held at the October meetings.
Holiday Party:
J. Ludt discussed dates and plans for the party to be held at
Allenberry Carriage Room.
The cost will remain at $25.00
per person. Watch for more detail.
October 25, 2008:
Dyno Day - J. Fusco. This is a tentative date. Watch for more
details.
Other Business:
Dave discussed a Fun Day for York County Corvette Club. Jack
would like this
To be an introduction to Auto
Cross and be open to all clubs. Dave will do follow-up.
