Thursday, September 4th.  

Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM.  (PA-100)

Saturday, September 6th.   

Drag Race Day.  Join CVCC from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beaver Springs Dragway (www.beaversprings.com) located between Lewistown and Sunbury.  CVCC has rented the entire track for these three hours.  Price is $40 per car.  We need 10 cars minimum to make this event work.  You can run as many times as you want.  The track will be fully staffed.  This is open to all members whether you have experience or not.  Put the foot to the metal and there will be friendlies there who will teach you the rest.  (Note:  Tropical Storm Hanna rained out this event.  It was tentatively re-scheduled for September 13th, but circumstances prevented this event from being re-scheduled.  Ultimately, this event was canceled.)  (50)

Sunday, September 14th.   

CVCC Charity Garage Tour.  We will leave from the Carlisle Home Depot parking lot at 10:30 AM to visit the Bill McCoy car collection in Mount Holly Springs.  Following lunch at the Sangrey's, we will head for Tom Schaffer's farm in Huntsdale to view his multiple building sign collection.  Next we will visit the Casey and Sue Strawmyer Corvette collection in Shippensburg.  Our last stop will be the Miller collection in Carlisle.  Lance Miller will give us a tour of the fantastic collection and share the cars' stories.  

The tour will conclude with a lucky member riding in one of the following cars from the Miller collection:  (a) Callaway Speedster; (b) #3 1960 Cunningham LeMans car; (c) Purple People Eater; (d) Lance's personal black C6 that Callaway has reworked extensively.  Raffle tickets are now being sold at $10 each.  Each car on this tour must purchase at least one raffle ticket.  The proceeds will be donated to the Chip Miller Foundation.

Tuesday, September 16th.   

Monthly CVCC Board meeting starting at 7:00 PM.  This will be at Scotties Beef and Reef in Mechanicsburg.  

Saturday, September 20th.   

CVCC Fall Fun Show at H&H Chevrolet.  It's CVCC's 10th Annual Fall Fun Show at H & H Chevrolet in Shippensburg.  It is a club sanctioned event and will be held rain or shine.  In addition to the show, there will be games, food, DJ, a silent auction and a lot of fun.  For more info and to register, click on the link below.  (75)

Saturday, September 27th.   

CVCC Fall Cruise  to Ulysses.  For those in Cumberland County, meet at Tractor Supply in Carlisle at 7:00 AM.  B. Grove will lead the caravan from there.  For those in York County, meet at the Ranch House restaurant (north of the 322/15 interchange) for an 8:30 AM departure and caravan to Ulysses to participate in the parade.  It will be a 200 mile cruise around scenic country.  The parade is rain or shine.  See G.
