The
meeting was called to order by President J. Priestner at 7:30
P.M.
A
motion was made by D. Walter, seconded by G. Miller to accept
the Secretary’s report for August.
Motion passed.
G.
Miller gave the Treasurers report.
A motion was made by J. Paul, seconded by S. Walter to
accept the Treasurer’s report.
Motion passed.
Dave
gave the Governor’s report.
Saturday
September 29th & Sunday September 30th
is the big high speed event at the Jefferson Circuit at Summit
Point. There will
be 7 events both days. Dave
has applications for these events.

Ocean
City Weekend is October 13 & 14.
Free State Corvette Club is having a triple concours
& rallye that day. CVCC usually makes reservations at the Dunes Motel in Ocean
City.

CVCC
members thanked Bruce & Linda and M. Baldwin for the fine
job they did with the Annual Gulf outing.
Bruce was not at the meeting to give us the information,
but will have it at next months meeting.
J.
Paul will again be chairperson for the Fall Foliage Festival and
Parade in Renovo, Pa. Paul
needs 9 cars to haul the young ladies through town.

October
20th is the Fun Show at Chevrolet of Carlisle
(formerly Rufe Chevrolet).
The proceeds after expenses go to the Elks Home
Visitation Nurses program.
M. Ludt is Chairperson for this event & B. Grove is
Co-chairman. These
fellows need items for the live auction we have every year.
Please help them by going out and getting items, gift
certificates from different businesses or bring something you
have made or purchase something to donate.
They will need these items by the next meeting or bring
them the day of the show. We always have a fun time at this show. We also hope to have a good turn out from the Classic Car
People. If you have
a friend that has a classic car invite them to come and join in
the fun.
We
are looking for people to advertise in our newsletter to help
defer costs of this. If
you know of someone with a business ask them if they would be
interested in advertising it in the newsletter.

October
13th Appalachian Harley Davidson & Street Rods is
sponsoring a “Miles for Miracles” for the Children’s
miracle Network. CVCC
has been invited to participate.
We were contacted by the program director of Red 102.3
Country Music Radio Station.
If you do not plan to go to Renovo to help with the
parade this is another thing to do for charity.
Karen put the information out on the Google Group web
site.
Concerning
the lifetime membership for our club to belong to the National
Corvette Museum. The
cost is $2500.00. G.
Bobb made a motion to pay $200.00 per month to the museum for
this membership. C.
Strayer seconded. George
Bobb withdrew the motion because K. Priestner made a motion to
pay the Museum the lump sum of $2500.00 and get it over with.
This was seconded by D. Walter and this motion was
passed. G. Miller
will send a check to the Museum for $2500.00.
(hopefully this is worded & written to everyone’s
satisfaction.)
M.
Hurley suggested a trip to Corvette America’s new facility
next Spring. Everyone
agreed this would make a nice trip.

meeting was held at Scotties in Mechanicsburg.
President
J. Priestner called the meeting to order.

Board discussed the following items:

The
October 13th Miles for Miracles to be held at
Appalachian Harley Davidson Dealership.
M. Baldwin and J. Newman collected $150.00 in donations
for this event at the H&H Show. Great job.
BIG
ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!!
The
Rufe Show has been cancelled due to problems at the dealership.
Some of the board members are looking into an alternate
place to have this. We
need to find someplace indoors.
Will have more information at the October meeting.
The
board also discussed the Club Photo’s.
Homecomings:
Sept.
28th York Catholic contact J. Glatfelter if you can
help.
Northeastern
Sept. 27 & 28 G.
Miller is the contact there.
He needs 10 cars both nights.
Cumberland
Valley School is October 12th.
8:00 They
need 7 Cars. T. Swartzell is the contact.
Shippensburg
College Homecoming is Saturday morning October 27th.
E. Hare will have all the particulars at the October
meeting.
We
will again have nominations for Club Officers and Board Members
at the November meeting.
