B. Sangrey is doing a covered bridge tour in Lancaster County on September 9th.  He had a sign-up sheet at the August meeting and will again be taking names at the September meeting.  If  you wish to go contact Bill.  He suggests you pack a picnic lunch as the club has rented a pavilion at Long’s Park in Lancaster following the tour.

We thanked the Loser’s for the wonderful time we had on the cruise to Jim Thorpe, Pa.  There were 19 cars, a beautiful day and great train ride.

Karen once again did a great job doing the Gettysburg Rallye.  There were 24 cars.  Karen would like the proceeds to go to a park that has been built for children with special needs.  A motion was made by J. Paul, seconded by L. Glatfelter to give the proceeds to this cause.  Motion passed.

G. Wolf thanked all the workers he had for our double Auto Cross at the Big Spring School parking lot on July 22nd.  He did a good job organizing this event.  We had 21 cars for this event.

September 22 is Keith’s cruise to Huntingdon County.  This cruise will wind up with a dinner cruise on the lake.  Contact Keith if you would like to go.  Keith always has fun cruises.

Dave is taking orders for the club photos we had taken at the July picnic meeting.  Contact Dave if you want one.

September 15th is the H&H Show.  Ed & Mary are the chairpersons.  They need baked goods for the day of the show.  Items for the silent auction and if you have odds & ends of glassware they also need them for the nickel pitch.

The Rufe Show is still a go.  Marlin and Bill are the chairpersons for this show. The name of the dealership is now Chevrolet of Carlisle.  We will be having a live auction, so they are in need of items to be auctioned off for charity.  They will have flyers if you wish to go to businesses to get items for the auction at the next meeting.

The club has tabled joining the National Corvette Museum until we can get more feed back from club members and talk to J. Gift and C. Strayer about this.

REMINDER

At the September monthly meeting we will be taking nominations for Officers and Board Members.  We will also take nominations at the October monthly meeting.  Voting will be at the November meeting.

Respectfully Submitted,

Judy
