CVCC Monthly Meeting

January 4th, 2007

The meeting was called to order by President J. Priestner.

A motion was made by S. Walter to accept the secretaries minutes for December.  The motion was seconded by R. Wolf.  Motion passed.

G. Miller gave the Treasurers report.  A motion was made by D. Walter, seconded by L. Kiser to accept the report as read.  Motion passed.

Dave gave the Governors report.

The years first concours will be held by CPCC January 27th at the Farm Show Complex.  This is a 2 day event.  Dave has pre-registration forms for this event.   They must be in by January 12.

June 16 – 23 is the NCCC convention.  This year it will be held in Nashville, Tn.  All the information is on the NCCC web site.  You can start to make your reservations in February. 

Northern Virginia Club will have the Spooktacular Sept. 29 & 30 at the Jefferson Circuit again this year.

Judy has contacted the Pocono Ramada Inn and blocked 30 rooms for our Pocono Driving School.  The date for this is April 21 & 22.  Hospitality room will be open Friday evening the 20th.  Price for room is $99.00 a night.  Phone # is 1-800-251-2610 Code is CVCC.

If you as a club member want a Pocono Driving School shirt this year Ken & Kim will be taking orders.  Hopefully by next meeting we will have a design to see.

A motion was made by K. Cless, seconded by G. Andreas to accept the Governors report.  Motion passed.

The annual Awards Banquet will be held April 14 at the Carlisle Elks.  Bill announced the price will be same as last year. Choice of menu is Surf & Turf, Filet of Beef and Stuffed Chicken Breast.  This Banquet is strictly for our club this year so the awards part of this will not be as long.  More time to party.  He will have a sign-up sheet next month.

If you ordered a Club Jacket from Bill, they have arrived.  Please get them from Bill at the next meeting.

February 6th at 7:00 P.M., for our club tour of the Caring Place.  R. Wable has set this up.  She will be presenting our charity check at this event.  She also sent out an e-mail with all the information, directions, etc., on 1-7-07.

M. Ludt will have a sign-up sheet for workers for the Pocono Driving School.

If you wish to join the Club Google Group so you can be informed of events happening between meetings please make sure K. Priestner has your current e-mail address so she can set you up on the web site.

Remember our club web site is www.cvcc-vette.com.  All our events are all posted on this site.

E. Hare announced that one of our former club members is ill.  Linda Zullinger was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  If you wish to send a card, please refer to the club directory.

Linda Glatfelter has had knee replacement surgery. Her address is in the club directory.

Please if you have taken any pictures at any of our events share them with J. McCarthy so he can put them on our web site.

A motion was made by Ms. Bobb, seconded by Ms. Bobb to adjourn the meeting.

CVCC Board Meeting

January 16, 2007

The meeting was held at Scotties in Mechanicsburg.

President J. Priestner called the meeting to order.

The board discussed the Holiday Party and Judy informed them that everything is set.

Marlin went over the Awards for the Banquet and went over what he had in mind for the recipients. 

A motion was made by Mike, seconded by Dave to accept Marlin’s proposal for the Awards Banquet. 

Bill gave the prices for the Awards Banquet and will have them together for the February monthly meeting.  The club is again paying for the DJ, centerpieces, DJ meal, etc for the awards banquet, in order to support those members who have contributed to the club throughout the year.

Dave discussed the Pocono Driving School.  We are going to offer t-shirts to those people who have signed up to drive.  He will send a note to them in their acceptance letter telling them how much they will be.

Jack reminded everyone that February 6th is when Rita has a tour set up to see the Caring Place facilities.  This is when we will be presenting our check to them.

Our club will be doing the timing for the East Region Spectacular  on May 19 & 20.  This will be held at the Ripkin Stadium.

Skip & Brett will report on the speed events for the club.

Meeting adjourned. 

The February Board meeting will be held at Scotties Beef & Reef in Mechanicsburg on the 20th at 7:00 P.M.
