Thursday, September 6th.  

Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM.  Nominations for 2007 Officers and  Board are on the agenda.  And also dues are due -- $35 single; $50 for two.  (PA-100)

Sunday, September 9th.

CVCC Covered Bridge Cruise through Amish Country and we'll take our Vettes across eight covered bridges.  Sign up sheets will be distributed at the September membership meeting.

The cruise will entail touring eight covered bridges in Lancaster County.  The cruise will be about 35 miles but we'll take it slow, so the time involved will be nearly 2-1/2 hours.  

Meeting Places:  (1) In the Carlisle area, meet at 1:00 PM at the Home Depot parking lot; (2) York/Lancaster area, meet at Rutters Store on PA Route 441 near Marietta about 2:00 PM.

Detailed route instructions will be provided.  There will be a pit stop along the tour at the Soft Serve ice cream and soda counter store at the intersection of South Main Street and Fruitville Pike in Manheim.

The tour will end at the Oregon Pike exit of US 222 just north of US 30 in Lancaster.

We will have a picnic dinner (bring your own food) at Long's Park, Pavilion #3.  Long's Park is across from Park City.

Saturday, September 15th.

CVCC 9th Annual Fall Fun Corvette Show at H&H Chevrolet in Shippensburg, PA.  This is a sanctioned event.  Registration opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 11:00 AM.  Rain or shine.  Awards will be presented at 3:00 PM.  Registration fee is $20 if you pre-register; otherwise, on the day of the show, the fee will be $25.  Cash drawings of $150, $100, and $50 will be conducted for pre-registered entrants only.  At the show, there will be games, food, a DJ, a silent auction and lots of fun.  If you wish to register, you can obtain the registration form by clicking on H&H Show Flyer.  Also, for more details click on H&H Show Flyer.  (PA-75)

Tuesday, September 18th.   

Monthly CVCC Board meeting starting at 7:00 PM.  This will be at Scotties Beef and Reef in Mechanicsburg.

Saturday, September 22nd.

CVCC Autumn Cruise.  Join us for a trip to the famous Swigart Car Museum.  Tour the entire collection located in three buildings.  This is a rare opportunity afforded to only a special few.  The autos range from 1900 to the 1970's with many cars that have not been on display in the main museum  building which holds about 33 cars.  The museum owns about 100 cars.  Other items are displayed as well of our years gone by.  This is by special arrangement.  Don't miss this one.  Autos are mostly the early years.  Many are world renowned and exceptional.

After our tour we travel a short distance to Raystown Lake to enjoy a two hour dinner cruise from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  This is a private charter for club members on a two deck vessel.  The lower deck is enclosed and air conditioned.  The upper deck is open air.  Menu includes:  country rib, grilled chicken, salad, cole slaw, baked potato, baked beans, roll, pie and cake, cold beverages and coffee.

Cost is $39 per person total, including tax and tip and everything is included except lunch.  Make the checks payable to Keith and mail them to his address in the club directory.

Meeting Place:  Drive south on I-81 to Exit 29.  Turn right.  Then turn right again at the traffic light into the WalMart parking lot on the left.  We leave promptly at 9:10 AM.  There is a new convenience store at the light with restroom facilities and a fuel stop.

We will travel a scenic route, stopping for an early lunch at an Italian restaurant (plenty of light fare and -- warning -- he feeds you well).  Not hungry?  Across the road you may watch the E.B.T. railroad steam trains and shops until we leave for the museum.
