Monthly Meeting
November
2nd,
2006
The
monthly meeting was opened by President Ludt.
A
correction to the secretaries minutes regarding where monies
go when hosting an event.
It is the person chairing the event’s choice, but
it must be a legitimate charity.
A
motion was made by E. Hare, seconded by M. Bobb and passed
by a voice vote to accept the secretaries report for October.
G.
Miller gave the Treasurers report.
He will be writing and mailing the rest of the car
raffle money to the designated charities before the end of
the year. A
motion was made by R. Wolf, seconded by K. Sandoe to accept
the Treasurers report.
Motion passed.
D.
Walter gave the Governors report.
The
Holly Inn Show date has been changed to May 26th.
CVCC
presented Denny Carney from Spina Bifida Association our
check for $3000.00. They
really appreciate our support in helping them to meet their
goals.
Russell
Orlando from the American Cancer Society was also in
attendance at our meeting.
We presented him with a check for $1750.00 from the
H&H Chevrolet Show & the car raffle.
They were also appreciative of the money.
It’s
great to be able to help these charities out with funds
collected from our different events.

They
own a 1963 Red Convertible and a 1971 Black Coupe.
A motion was made by Judy, seconded by M. Ludt to
accept the Anderson’s into CVCC.
Motion passed.
Jane
Kelso, sponsored by Judy.
She owns a 1990 White convertible.
A motion was made by S. Walter, Seconded by M. Breen
to accept Jane into CVCC.
Motion passed.
David
& Pam Paul, sponsored by Judy.
They own a 2006 Victory Red convertible.
A motion was made by H. Shenk, seconded by R. Wable
to accept the Paul’s into CVCC.
Motion passed.
One
of our members was at Ocean City Weekend and won the first
annual National Corvette Museum Celebrity Award.
It was K. Haas. Congratulations, this is a great award and we are proud you
belong to CVCC.
RECAP
OF RECENT EVENTS
Renovo
Fall Foliage Parade. J. Paul reported their again was six cars attending.
The drive there was beautiful with changing leaves.
He thanked everyone for attending and hopes to have
more cars participate next year.
THE
RUFE CHEVROLET SHOW
This
show was again a good event.
Feed back on the Funkhanna was very positive.
Folks had a ball driving the lawn mowers S. Gutshall
provided. Marlin,
Bill and Judy wish to thank everyone who helped us with this
show. We really
appreciated it. Our
own L. Wolf took the best of show prize.
B.
Grove made a motion to give the Elk’s Home Visitation
charity $2000.00 from the Rufe Show this motion was seconded
by D. Walter and passed with a voice vote.
DILLSBURG
FARMERS FAIR PARADE
CVCC
is invited every year to attend this parade and also to
provide some cars for the parade queen. This year we had over twenty cars participate.
We decorated our cars and some of the passengers wore
costumes. We
had a ball. Club member W. Chilcote wants to thank everyone
from the club for turning out.
We did have one club member lock her keys in the car.
She finally got them out.
GETTYSBURG
RALLYE
There
were 10 cars for this event.
The weather hampered the attendance.
Karen did an excellent job with this easy rallye.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and came back with smiles
on their faces.
SHIPPENSBURG
COLLEGE HOMECOMING
E.
Hare thanked those who did the Shippensburg College
Homecoming. This
was the same day as the Rufe Show so he was not able to do
the homecoming, but several of our members did.
CVCC
HOLIDAY PARTY
Their
will be a flyer in this newsletter with the particulars on
this. Also
their will be a sign-up sheet at the December meeting.
Judy will need your money by the January monthly
meeting for those who have signed up so far.
The dead line for the money is January 12th.
If you wish to attend and cannot make the January
meeting please feel free to contact Judy or Keith.
CVCC
has received thank you’s for our donations to the
following charities and organizations.
The
local American Red Cross.
The
Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries.
Donation was in remembrance of S. Walter’s mother,
and also from her family.
From
Judy Miller, for our donation to the Chip Miller Charitable
Foundation.
Also
received a thank you from Carlisle High School senior class
council for providing cars for their homecoming.

CVCC
Board Meeting
November
7th,
2006
The
Board meeting was held at Scotties Beef & Reef in
Mechanicsburg and was called to order by President Ludt.
The
board gave Dave approval to have the club copier serviced if
it does not cost more than $150.00. If over that Dave will get prices on purchasing a new one.
M.
Hecker has volunteered to co-ordinate the parades the club
is ask to do. He
is making a list of all who will do the parades as he needs
you. If you wish to help with these parades contact him.
As
of this moment G. Wolf does not have an answer on the
location he is working on for the AutoX.
He will know in two weeks and have the information at
the December membership meeting.
We
will be having the SCCA AutoX August 5 at the York
Fairgrounds. Dave
will have information on this when available.
There
was a motion made by G. Miller, Seconded by G. Wolf and
approved by all to Give Judy & Keith $500.00 toward
expenses for the Holiday Party.
Because
Judy received the majority of the write-in votes, she will
continue serving the office of Secretary for CVCC.
The
next Board meeting will be held Wednesday December 20 at
Scotties Beef & Reef in Mechanicsburg.
This will be a meeting of outgoing and incoming board
members and their wives.
The time is 6:00 P.M.
