CVCC Monthly Meeting

January 10th, 2006

The meeting was called to order by President M. Ludt.

A motion was made by K. Cless, second by N. Flynn to accept the December minutes.  Motion Passed by all.

G. Miller gave the Treasurers report.  A motion was made by K. Priestner, seconded by M. Hurley to accept the treasurer’s report.  Motion was passed by all.

D. Walter gave the Governor’s report.

3-26 Bellaire corvette club double concours.

CVCC is 10th place in the nation in NCCC

Mark & Claudia are representatives to the south east.

Mark is in 15th place and Claudia is in 9th place as of last recording.  They have done a great job going out and having fun getting points for club.  The club really appreciates all their effort.

Dave has Convention information contact him if you are interested in going.  He will also help with filling out the registration forms.

National Charity Committee(of NCCC) has donated a certificate for a set of Goodyear competition tires to be given away at our awards banquet.  Proceeds will go to the Kidney Foundation. 250 tickets will be given out to the NCCC clubs in the East Region.  If you buy one of the car raffle tickets @ $10.00 ea. The ticket will then be put into a drawing for the tires.  They gave our club 25 tickets.

SECOND READINGS:

S. Verber, 2006 Black Convertible, sponsored by D. Walter & M. Evans.  A motion was made by D. Walter, seconded by M. Ludt, passed by everyone to accept him into the club.

Due to the Cruise in April we would like to change the April meeting date to April 13th.  R. Hamilton will check with the Elk’s then we will e-mail everyone to let them know if it can be changed.

The Club received a card from E. Shughart thanking everyone for the cards, flowers etc., during his recent stay in the hospital.

Pocono Driving school is filling up rapidly.  G. Miller & M. Ludt are the people to see if you want to be a worker at the Driving School.  The number for the Ramada Inn is 1-800-251-2610.  $85.00 per night.  Please call and make your reservations.

G. Miller suggested we buy a few new radio’s.  N. Flynn made a motion to spend $300.00 for new radio’s, seconded by R. Wable.  Gary will be taking care of having the old ones that work, looked over and repaired.

The Board had a special meeting on club points.  It was suggested to separate the NCCC points from our club points and give the awards separately at our banquet beginning with the year 2006. (which would be 2007 banquet) Dave made a motion to remove the NCCC points from our club points it was seconded by N. Flynn.  Passed by a voice vote.  The folks will be awarded at our banquet for the NCCC sanctioned points and also awarded with club points for the club participation at our events.

May 20th is a CVCC Fun Show and a Perry County Corvette Club Fun Show at the Holly Inn in Mt. Holly Springs, Pa.

B. Grove is taking care of the Awards Banquet food and preparations for this year.  He said the prices that we had last year will be the same.  He will have more on this next month.

He is also looking into a 3 season club jacket.  He will also have more information next month on this.

Marlin made a call to Mid America Motor Works.  He is setting up an account for Cumberland Valley Corvette Club.  They are giving us a on a $500.00 order or more 10% and free shipping.  If you have something you would like to order contact Marlin and the orders will go in together, Marlin will put it on his charge card then you can pay him.  So contact Marlin with your order.

L. Kiser suggested that the club give a contribution to the Elk’s Scholarship fund in memory of our waitress, Renie’s husband’s passing.  She serves us every month.  A motion was made by D. Walter, seconded by J. Ludt, passed by a voice vote.  A check for $50.00 will be given.

The next Board Meeting is January 17th at Scotties Bar in Mechanicaburg.  7:00 P.M.

M. Bobb made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by G. Wolf.

CVCC Board Meeting

January 17th, 2006

The meeting was called to order by President M. Ludt.

G. Miller purchased 2 radios and he is checking the other’s to see which ones need to be repaired.  He also purchased 2 mikes for our existing radios.

We will have the SCCA AutoX July 23 if this is acceptable with John Pharo.   Keith Stanley will check with him.

We will make our Double AutoX on June 11 a triple AutoX.

B. Grove reported on the pricing for the Awards Banquet.  The Elk’s will give us the same prices as last year.  He will report on this at the monthly meeting.

G. Wolf suggested we raffle off the cars used in the skit at the Holiday Party.  L. Wolf and R. Wolf made corvettes out of cardboard with great detail.  They spent a lot of time on them and did an excellent job on them.  This may be done at the Holly Inn Show.

The board wishes to express our appreciation of a wonderful job done by Joan & Faye on the Holiday Party.  Again it was great.

The board has the recommendation on how the point system will work.  It will be discussed at the monthly meeting in February.

The next Board Meeting will be held February 14 at Scotties Beef & Reef in Mechanicsburg.  7:00 P.M.
