CVCC Monthly Meeting

December 1, 2005

The meeting was called to order by President M. Ludt.

A motion was made by N. Flynn, Seconded by S. Walter to accept the November minutes.   Motion passed by all.

G. Miller gave the Treasurers report.  A motion was made by M. Hurley, seconded by EJ to accept the Treasurers report.  Motion passed by all.

D. Walter gave the Governors report.

First event of the year is the CPCC concours at the Pa. Farm Show Building with the annual car show January 28 & 29 2006.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The January meeting will be changed to Tuesday January 10th.

This is because the Elk’s has scheduled something else for that night.

M. Evans, 2001 Light Pewter convertible, sponsored by D. Walter.  A motion was made by M. Ludt, seconded by G. Wolf, motion was passed to accept him into the club.

Nancy & Madonna & Walter,1976 White Coupe, 1998 Pace Car Convertible, and 2003 Yellow Indy Parade Car.  Sponsored by, J. Gift.  A motion was made by D. Walter, seconded by S. Walter, motion was passed to accept Nancy & Walter into the club.

B. & D. Reitzel, 1993 Ruby Red Coupe, sponsored by D. Witmer.  A motion was made by J. Ludt, seconded by G. Miller, motion was passed to accept the Reit\zel’s into the club.

S. Rynard,1969 Red Convertible, sponsored by M. Ludt.  A motion was made by M. Ludt, seconded by S. Gutshall, motion was passed to accept him into the club.

WELCOME TO THE NEW MEMBERS

Pocono Driving School:

The prices changing for the driving school.  If you plan on attending to drive your car, contact D. Walter for the prices.  A motion was made to raise the cost of the driving school $25.00 across the board by D. Walter, seconded by K. Priestner.  The motion was passed by a voice vote.

Social Committee Report:

Faye announced your money should have been paid if you plan to attend the Holiday Party at Allenberry January 14.

D. Walter announced that the G R Porter King Auction will be at the Atlantic City Convention Center.  There is a discount if you plan to attend as a club.  Dates are February 23, 24, 25, & 26.

R. Wable reported on the April Cruise.  Starting January you must have a valid Passport.  You can no longer use your birth certificate or driver license as proof of citizenship.  There is still room if anyone cares to go with us.  R. Wable has all the information on this.

The raffle car money will be put into a CD.  We will decide what charities we intend to give the money to next year.  We would like to have a committee to help do this.  If you are interested, contact Marlin.

A motion was made by G. Bobb to give away 80% of the raffle car money and keep 20%.  Seconded by, E. Hare.  Motion was passed by voice vote.

A motion was made by D. Walter to give the Auction money from the Rufe Show ($1500.00) to the Elk’s Charity.  This was seconded by H. Shenk and passed by a voice vote.

Those of you who like to go over to the bar at the Elk’s after the meetings must belong to the Elk’s to purchase your drinks.  You may go over with a member and be signed in and the member must get your drink for you.

Regarding the Pocono Driving School.  Judy has called the Ramada Inn, we have 30 room blocked.   Someone else bought the Hotel now the rooms will be $85.00 per night.  You may call anytime to make your reservations.  Just tell them you are with the Corvette Club.   1-800-251-2610.

A motion was made by J. Paul, seconded by M. Bobb to adjourn the meeting.  Agreed by everyone.

CVCC Board Meeting

December 14, 2005

The Board Meeting for December was held at The Holly Inn.

President Ludt opened the short meeting.

Dave and committee are working on a new point system for the club.

A committee was established for the awards which will be given at the Awards Banquet held April 15th , 2006 at the Elk’s Lodge in Carlisle.

There will be a special meeting of the Board December 27th.  This will be to go over the points, etc., for the Awards Banquet.

Member Bill Rogers passed away beginning of December.  There was a motion made and passed to send a donation of $50.00 to the Cancer Research center in Hagerstown, Md.  The family requested donations in lieu of flowers.

Dave received policy and procedures from Carlisle Productions regarding items to be sold at our spaces at Spring & Fall Carlisle.  One item of importance to Carlisle Productions is you must have 80% automotive merchandise.  If you have any questions regarding this contact Dave.

The meeting was adjourned by everyone.

The Board wishes all members a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
