Holiday Party Report:

Joan has everything set up for this party, however; she needs your money, $25.00 per person, by 12/22.  The party is January 14 at Allenberry Playhouse.  Time is 5:30 – 11:00 P.M.  She will have a flyer in the newsletter closer to the time.

R. Hamilton thanked everyone who attended the car show at the Carlisle Airport.  This will be a annual event, but the location may be different next year.

Hershey Museum tour was well attended.  This was very interesting and the food, of course, was great also.  Good job Bob.

H&H Show:  E. Hare reported this was a very successful show and thanked everyone for their help it was very much appreciated.  There was a random judging and one of our club members had their car judged.  What a dirty, dirty car.  Thanks for being a good sport John.  Next year the H&H Show will be on September 16.

The Rallye at Boyd’s Bears:  Keith once again did a terrific job.  Everyone had fun.  We were hired as scouts for President Lincoln on this little tour of the battlefield.  President Lincoln spoke to us after the rallye.  Park Rangers were very helpful to some of us in answering questions.

November 5th is Keith’s annual outing at Penn National Race Track.  I believe there will be a flyer in the newsletter.  If not, Keith will have more information at the November meeting.

CVCC Board Meeting

October 18, 2005

President Ludt opened the meeting.

Judy reported that several emails are returned undeliverable.  Members are to be reminded to submit any changes to their email addresses to Elaine in order to update the Directory.

The list of members who have not yet renewed their 2006 dues was reviewed.  Another reminder will go out in the newsletter.   The dues must be paid by the first week of November.

Dave reported that a corvette double auto-cross can be scheduled for the open date of June 11.  Board approved this double sanction date.   We now have 5 of the 7 sanctions scheduled.   There are 2 sanctions left.    The Board also recommends a SCCA non-sanctioned autocross for July.  Dave will confirm an open date in July.

Judy recommended that it was time for the club to purchase new, updated autocross software program for the computer.   This will be a goal when assigning “monies”.

Marlin will look into having club sweatshirts made & available for sale at cost to members.

Marlin gave report on Car Raffle.  The Mayor of Carlisle will draw the winning ticket at 3:00pm, Oct. 22, at Rufe Show.  Gary W. and Jack will look into renting a drum that is large enough to mix tickets thoroughly.   It was clarified that the separate drawing prior to the car drawing is regarded as a door prize drawing.

Marlin reported that Tracy suggested a contest be held to “name” our newsletter.   However, Dave stated that there is a name for our newsletter.   It is called “The Distributor”, named at the inception of the club.

Marlin reviewed the recent homecomings, the Virginia cruise, Flaming Foliage Parade, Ocean City, Dillsburg Parade, and the Carlisle Halloween Parade.   Thanks to all who coordinated and participated.

Marlin reminded everyone that elections for five of the eight nominated Board members will be held at November’s monthly meeting.

Keith circulated the plaque he had made to thank D&J Truck Repair for the use of their electricity, etc, when we use Pharo’s Truck Stop lot for autocrosses.

Keith reported on a couple of events he is planning for 2006.

A possible additional driving school was discussed.  Dave will investigate Summit track mid-week the week of Corvettes@Carlisle or the track at Carlisle on Friday of Corvettes@Carlisle.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15pm.
