Anniversary Car Report:

Thanks to EJ & George for bringing the car to the AutoX and selling tickets.  Also thanks to EJ For detailing it.

The car was taken to the Hagerstown Mall this past weekend.  This was a great effort by J. Irby to co-ordinate.  We also want to thank all the people that came to help sell tickets.  We sold approximately 230 tickets.

We will be taking the car to Federal Credit Union in New Cumberland this Saturday to sell tickets.  We will be there from 10:30 – 12:30.

We would like you to turn any tickets and money you may have so we know the amount of tickets we will have for Corvettes at Carlisle.

We will be setting up the trailer and canopy Tuesday Aug. 23 at 5:30, all help is appreciated.

We also need a lot of help with the Auto Cross Carlisle Productions has asked us to do Sunday Aug. 28 at the Fairgrounds.  We will be taking registrations Friday and Saturday.  If you wish to help, let D. Walter know.  We also will need people who are experienced in auto crossing to ride along and give pointers to the people who register.

EJ is also taking names for anyone who would like to eat with us at The Market Cross Pub Saturday night after the Corvette Parade.  The cost is $5.00 per person which you will get back when you show up there.  We need to have a count very soon for them so please leave EJ know asap.

B. Bowen has talked with the Hershey Museum and we will be meeting there Sept. 11. (He to leave us know what time as soon as he gets a call back from them).  We will be eating at Pavones afterward.  There will be a sign-up sheet at the September meeting.

H&H show Sept. 17th.  This will be one of the best shows ever thanks to the Hare's.  They have all kinds of fun things to do for this event.  Games, prizes, etc.  So please all try to attend.  This is a fun show so no need to clean your car all day.  If you haven’t pre-registered I suggest you do.  The pre-registration gift is a really, really nice one.

Sept. 24 is our fun Poker Run.  We will meet at Boyd’s Bears just outside Gettysburg off Route 15.  We want to have the last car out by Noon.   Keith promises a fun time.

Penn National Race Course has been in touch with Keith and he has selected November 5 for our outing there.  It will be $23.00 per person.  Keith will have more details soon.

O.C. Weekend – The Dunes still has rooms available for us if you care to go to this event.

The Wolf's have the Fall Cruise all set.  They will leave us know where to meet next month.

October 22 is the Rufe Show.  This show is also with Classic Cars so if you know of anyone with a classic car please invite them to participate.  We always invite the Cumberland Valley Classics and if anyone knows someone that belongs to the Blue Moon Cruisers please have them invite their club also.

We are still looking for donations for the annual auction for this show.  Please give them to Marlin, Judy or B. Grove.  You can also bring them the day of the show.  If you plan to bring a donated item leave us know so we know how many items we will have.

J. Priestner has license plate frames with our club name and logo.  If you would like to purchase some they are $2.00 each.  You can put these on your vette or personal car, neighbors car etc.

Contact K. Priestner if you are having problems signing onto the YAHOO Group.

CVCC won second place in the Carlisle Summer Fair Parade.  Marlin presented G. Miller with the check for $50.00 we received.

E. Hare received a phone call from Shippensburg University about cars for their Homecoming.  Mason Dixon Club won’t be able to help this year so he needs people from our club to help him.  We need 12 Cars.  Please leave him know if you can help out.

There is still time to book your reservations for our Cruise week of April 1st.  If you decide you would like to go contact R. Wable for all the information.

The Cless's have the 40th Annuiversary shirts which just came in.  If you would like a shirt they are $30.00 and you can call them to order your size if they do not have it.

NEXT MONTH WE WILL BE TAKING NOMINATIONS FOR OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS.  Please plan to attend.

A motion to adjourn was made by J. Paul, seconded by R. Wable.

Respectfully Submitted,

Judy

CVCC Board Meeting

August 16, 2005

The monthly Board meeting was held at Scotties in Mechanicsburg.

There was no board meeting in July because a few members were on vacation.

The meeting was opened by President Ludt.

Raffle Car:  It was suggested and voted upon to have WI00 Radio station in Carlisle to do a live broadcast from our show at Rufe Chevrolet.  They will also advertise the event for a week starting 10-17.

The car was at the Federal Credit Union in New Cumberland on August 6th and we sold about 20 tickets there.  The members that helped sell tickets and attended the show will receive 50 club points each.

Dave & Sally’s Picnic:  Everyone had a good time like every year.  We played games got in the pool and had our annual rain storm.

J. Priestner suggested we take the car to the Hagerstown Mall again, but only for the Cruise-in.  G. Wolf will take the car this Saturday and M. Ludt and G. Miller will go along to sell tickets.  Anyone that wants to go is welcome.  50 points

September 10th is the Carlisle Airport Show.  We would like to have a good turn our from club members.  Flyer is in the newsletter.

B. Bowen has more information on going as a club to the Hershey Museum.  He will present it at the next club meeting.

K. Stanley has the Poker Run ready to go.

G. Wolf has the Fall Cruise all set.

HOMECOMINGS:

This year whoever is the chairperson for the homecomings make sure that you collect the money.  Ask them to get the money to you instead of mailing it to G. Miller.

The Holly Inn would like us to do a car show next year at their restaurant.  We will need someone to chair this event.

J. Fahringer asked for money to start getting things underway for the annual Holiday Party.  G. Miller will give her the check.

Please folks get out there and sell those raffle tickets or buy them as a gift for a wedding, anniversary, birthday etc.  They make a great gift.

The meeting was adjourned.  The next board meeting will be held September 20th at Scottie’s in Mechanicsburg.  7:00 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Judy,

CVCC Secretary
