The summer of 1965 there were 5 or 6 guys that owned Corvettes hanging out at Cleland’s Service Station in Carlisle.  Everyone thought they were a rough bunch because they had loud cars.

Bud Long suggested they start a club and start doing things for the community. The CVCC Club came about and they started doing homecomings, parades, etc.  CVCC was incorporated in 1966.

The five people that started this club were:  B. Black, B. Grove, B. Long, B. Loy and E. Shughart.

A suggestion was made to the Board by a club member to make these five gentlemen lifetime members.  The cost to the club would be $30.00 per person for NCCC membership.  The wives would still pay $15.00.

A motion was made by L. Kiser, seconded by M. Ludt and passed by a voice vote to make these gentlemen life time members.  So CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE MEN.

B. Black attended tonight’s meeting at the request of our president.  B. was presented with a plaque of appreciation for he does for the club.

D. Crone attended tonight’s meeting after being ill for several months.  He thanked everyone for the cards while he was absent.  He said he is feeling great now.  Good to have you back.
