CVCC Monthly Meeting

March 3, 2005

The Monthly meeting was called to order by President Ludt.

There is a correction to the minutes from February.  It should say G-Burg Vettes is having a concours April 17.  G-Burg Vettes is located in Gaithersburg Maryland.  It was listed as Gettysburg Vettes.  For you new members Gettysburg does not have a corvette club.

A motion was made by K. Sandoe, seconded by A. Foust, passed by a voice vote to accept the Secretary’s  minutes for February.

G. Miller gave the Treasurer’s report.  A motion was made by S. Gutshall, seconded by R. Wolf, passed by a voice vote to accept the Treasurer’s report.

The Governor’s report was given by D. Walter.   CVCC is now the largest club in the East Region with 250 members.  NCCC is  working on new rule book for 2007.  Will be changing classes for events.  Will still have different groups.

April 3 Bel Air Autox

April 10 G-Burg Vettes will be a concours.  Changed from 17th.

CPCC trip to Watkins Glen April 20 & 30.  We are invited to go with them.  Dave has applications to run your car on the speedway and then will tour the wine country.  If interested contact Dave.

May 7 CPCC Drags $35.00 per car.  This is Beaver Springs Dragway.  Spectator $5.00.  Contact Dave if interested.

Second Readings:

J. & M. Conley, they have a 1998 Red Coupe sponsored by B. Shriner.  A motion was made by EJ Andreas, seconded by B. Shriner and passed by a voice vote to accept the Conley’s into the club.

J. Fusco, 2000 Dark Green Coupe sponsored by K. Sandoe.  A motion was made by K. Priestner, seconded by N. Flynn and passed by a voice vote to accept him into the club.

B. Gutshall has a 1998 Dark Red Coupe.  He is sponsored by S. Gutshall.  A motion was made by A. Seibert, seconded by J. Ludt and passed by a voice vote to accept him into the club.

Mr. C. Hale has a 2000 Pewter Coupe.  He is sponsored by K. Sandoe.  A motion was made by R. Wable, seconded by K. Stanley and passed by a voice vote to accept Mr. Hale into the club.

B. & R. Purvis, they have a 1991 Red Convertible.  A motion was made by M. Ludt, seconded by B. Barnhart and passed by a voice vote to accept the Purvis’ into the club.

Marlin read thank you cards from H. Shenk and S. Walter.  Both are doing very well.  D. Crone, however, could still use some prayers and get well cards.  Doctors still can’t find his problem.

April 9 & 10 at Rockingham Speedway.  You must have a high speed license to participate in this autox event.  Contact Dave for pre registration.  Multiple sanctioned event.

Anniversary Car Raffle:   The first 1000 tickets have been sold.  The high sales person for this is R. Wable.  She received a $200.00 gift certificate from Mid America.  Please if you have any ticket money turn it into B. Grove or L. Kiser.

Sanctioned Rallye May 22.  K. Priestner and D. Marten are chairing this event.  We will have flyer in newsletter. They will need workers.  If you would like to help with this event contact the chairs.

Awards Banquet:  April 16, if you would like to go contact B. Grove.  He must have the money with your reservation.

Ocean City:  Date changed to 15 & 16 of October.  Dunes closes the 1st of October, they will extend their closing until after this event.  If you have made reservations you must still call them and revise the dates with them.  1-800-523-2888.  If you plan on not going B. Grove must know this also. 

Pocono Driving School:  This is now full.  G. Miller and M. Ludt are now taking names for people who would like to help as workers.  If you would like to go to this event and help contact them.

Dave has flyers for all sanctioned events.  These flyers are also on the NCCC web site.  Our web site has a link to the NCCC site.

Hooters Show: K. Stanley reported it will be Sunday June 12.   The Hooters girls want to challenge us on several games of Twister.  There will be plenty of parking.  The business next door is allowing parking on their lot.  Flyer will be in newsletter.

 The Penn National event will be cancelled until sometime next year because they are taking the main building down and putting up another one.

Keith is working on a Poker Run just for club members in September thru the Gettysburg Battlefield.  He will have more info later.

40th Anniversary Clothing:  We would like your help in designing the logo for this project.  D. Walter and G. Wolf will be chairing this.  So send your designs to them and they will choose.  They would like to have them before the next meeting.  If you want to help them please let them know.  They would appreciate the help.

Anyone who signed up to go to Shanksville April 2 we did not get enough people for the bus.  We have decided to drive.  She will contact you to let you know what time we are leaving and from where.

J. Priestner has ordered license plate frames for the club.  $2.00 ea.  If interested contact Jack.  They will be in at the next meeting. 

D. Hurley thanked everyone for the cards and calls in the passing of her father.

CVCC Board Meeting

March 15, 2005

The Board meeting was held at Ye Old Ale House in Mechanicsburg.

The meeting was opened by President Ludt.

Raffle Car:  Car going to Spring Carlisle.  EJ & George coordinating the ticket sales.

The Board looked over 2 designs for the Anniversary clothing.  Gary Wolf and Dave Walter have them and are waiting more designs from club members.

Awards Banquet:  Everything is ready for this event.  Don’t forget to bring a DOOR PRIZE.  1 per person

Ordering shirts for Pocono Driving School.

Spring Rufe Show.  Flyers are out.  Mike & Larry working on trophies.

Keith working on Poker Rallye for September 11.

The Board discussed putting a vender’s logo on our web site.  Discussed set-up fees.  Maybe leave on for a month or two.

October 9th   weekend trip to Falling Waters, and several other locations.  Gary & Jackie trip planners.

We will no longer give out club membership cards.  We never use them for anything.  Years ago the cards were used for discounts at various businesses.  This is not an option anymore so they will be discontinued.

The next Board Meeting will be held April 19th at Ye Old Ale House in Mechanicsburg 7:00 P.M.
