CVCC Monthly Meeting

January 6, 2005

The Monthly meeting was called to order by President Ludt.

There were no additions or corrections to the December minutes.  A motion was made by K. Cless, seconded by S. Walter, passed by a voice vote to accept the minutes.

G. Miller gave the Treasurers report.  A motion was made by L. Kiser, seconded by J. Glatfelter, passed by a voice vote to accept the treasurers report.

D. Walter gave the Governors report.  First event of the 2005 year is the CPCC concours and fun show at the Farm Show Complex.  CVCC hopes to have a good turn out of members at this event.  We will also have the raffle car there on display and we will be selling tickets also.  R. Wable and N. Flynn will be assigning people to sell these tickets. G. Wolf and D. Walter have volunteered to trailer cars if need be because of bad weather.

D. Walter also said the NCCC packets are out.  If you don’t receive yours by end of January leave him know.

There were no new or second readings.

Marlin read a thank you note from J. DeCoster for the flowers and cards from the club in the death of his wife.

SPEED EVENTS:

J. Priestner reported that on April 9 & 10 at Rockingham Speedway, there is a high speed NCCC event.  If interested contact him for the flyers.

B. Grove gave the report on the food for the Awards Banquet.  Surf & Turf is $35.00, Stuffed Chicken Breast is $15.00, Filet of beef $20.00.  A motion was made by D. Walter, seconded by J. Ludt passed by voice vote to have the same times as last year.

Pocono Driving School:  Dave has 44 spaces filled.  He has the entry froms and hotel information.  There will be a sign-up sheet for workers at the March and April meetings.  If you wish to help, come to one of those meetings and sign-up.  If you wish to participate, contact Dave for the entry forms.

J. McCarthy reported the Web Site is up to date.

Anniversary Car Raffle:  There is 582 tickets sold so far.  We need to get out there and sell those tickets.  As soon as you have sold your tickets please bring the money to B. Grove or L. Kiser.

Goals we want to meet are,  Acquiring 40th Anniversary Clothing.

Club Picture:  L. Kiser has offered his helicopter as soon as we can find a place to do this.  We want to also include the original founders of the club for this picture. 

B. Long has agreed to give a historian report of the club.

K. Priestner has rented the go cart track at the Carlisle Sports Emporium for Thursday evening March 17th from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. for our enjoyment.  She had a sign up sheet at the January meeting.  If you would like to join us, please contact her.

Please make sure Marlin or Judy has your correct e-mail address so we can contact you with club information.

CPCC has invited our club to do Drag Races with them at the Beaver Springs Drag Strip.  Date is May 7th.  Tentative price is $35.00 per car.  Dave will have more information later.

A motion was made by R, Wable, seconded by K. Priestner and passed by everyone to adjourn the meeting.

CVCC Board Meeting

January 18, 2005

The Board Meeting was held at Ye Olde Ale House in Mechanicsburg.

Members Attending: E. Hare, M. Ludt, J. Ludt, M. Ludt, G. Miller, J. Priestner, K. Sandoe, K. Stanley, D. Walter, G. Wolf.

The Board all agreed Joan and company did a really great job with the Holiday Party.  Marlin told the Board Joan agreed to continue as chairperson for the social committee, however, Joan would like more help and has ask  for volunteers.

The Board discussed the trophies, etc., for the Awards Banquet.   There has been a change in prices for the meals at the Banquet.  They are as follows:

Surf & Turf   $30.00

Stuffed Chicken Breast  $12.00

Filet Mignon   $18.00

K. Priestner and D. Marten want to have a Rallye Sunday May 22nd.  They will have info on this at the next Monthly Meeting.

The Hooter’s Show to be held June 12th will now be a non sanctioned event.
