Thursday, September 1st. Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM. (PA-100) Saturday, September 10th. CVCC is invited to show its Vettes (any and all years, up through C6) at this show which will benefit Cumberland and Perry County special needs and Mental Health Center. Carlisle Airport (Click here for directions). Gates open at 9 AM for entrants. The show is free to the general public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Rain or shine. Food available. Helicopter rides. Life Lion and mini weinermobile will be there. Chinese auction for antiques. Dash plaques for first 100. (50) Click here for Classic Show Flyer. Sunday, September 11th. CVCC will be taking a tour of the AACA Museum in Hershey to see the special Corvette display, as well as all the other beautiful automobiles they have on display. The club will meet in the parking lot of the museum at 11:30 so we are ready to enter the museum by Noon. We should have a special parking area. Group rate admission to the museum is: Adults $6; Seniors (over 60) $5; Children (12 & under) $4. We will collect your admission either in advance or at the event, or before we enter the museum so we can present AACA with one check for the group, which will speed up the entry process. Afterwards we will go to Pavone's Restaurant on Route 39 for a mid-afternoon lunch. B. Bowen is organizing the event, and will have more info at September's meeting. (50) Click here the Map/Directions to the Hershey Museum. Saturday, September 17th. at H&H Chevrolet. This is CVCC's sixth sanctioned event for 2005. Registration runs 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Awards will be at 3:00 PM. If you pre-register, the fee is $20. Otherwise the fee is $25 on the day of the show. There is a special gift for the first 50 pre-registered cars. Games, food, DJ, Silent Auction, and Lots of Fun. (PA-75) Click here for show flyer and registration for the H&H Show. Tuesday, September 20th. Monthly CVCC Board meeting starting at 7:00 PM. This will be at Scotty's Beef & Reef, Mechanicsburg. Saturday, September 24th. CVCC . We meet at Boyd's Bear Country in Gettysburg. Take Route 15 to the Steinwehr Exit and go West toward town (a right turn if traveling south) just a couple of miles to Boyd's on the left. Keith is chairing. Upon arrival, pick up your directions. Everyone should be on the road by Noon. Enjoy a leisurely drive with time for a rest stop or to look at something more closely. Visit the smallest area of the park known to very few in the country, learn little known facts, discover a soldier's letter to his family, amazing story about the Culp family, test your skill to notice clues, will your camera work well at this spot? and watch for ghosts. We end up at a surprise locale that has a light menu and plenty to do until everyone is back and cards accounted for. Our special guest will meet us at 3:00 PM. No cost to enter the Poker Run.
