Saturday, April 2nd. This event has been postponed until drier and warmer weather. Keep your eyes and ears open for a future announcement regarding re-scheduling this event. CVCC is cruising in remembrance of and to see the site of in Shankesville, PA. We depart from Weis Markets on Roosevelt Avenue in York at 6:30 AM, from the Capital City Airport at apporoximately 7:15 AM, and will return at approximately 7:30 PM. Since we are no longer taking a bus, there is a new and reduced price that has not been determined. We plan to have lunch that day as a group, vist the Flight #93 Chapel and visit the Site in Shanksville. We will also visit a wind farm project and the Quecreek mine rescue site. Contact either Joan or Faye to sign up. (50) Thursday, April 7th. Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM. (PA-100) Saturday/Sunday, April 9th/10th. at Rockingham hosted by Carolina Corvette Club. See J. Priestner for details. Saturday, April 16th. Join CVCC and the Eastern Region for a night of food, partying, and awards. It all happens at the Elks, 120 West Ridge Street, Carlisle. The agenda, menu and prices for the evening are shown below. Awards will be presented by the Eastern Region to its top competitors for last year. And CVCC has quite a few of its own who will be honored. This will be followed by an awards presentation by CVCC to its members. Afterwards, a DJ will spin the tunes until midnight. Bring a door prize! Whatever you wish to bring -- it doesn't have to be a "car" gizmo. We will give away all the door prizes throughout the evening. (PA-100) 6:00 PM -- Social Hour 7:00 PM -- Dinner. $30 - Surf and Turf (Both 8 oz.) $18 - Filet (8 oz.) $12 - Stuffed Chicken Breast 8:00 PM -- Presentation of Awards 9:00 PM -- Dancing to DJ Reservations/payment due in advance and should have been paid by now. Thirty rooms have been set aside for CVCC at a nightly rate of $75. Call Elaine at the motel directly (1-800-251-2610) to reserve and mention you are with the Corvette club to receive the discount. (200/day) CVCC POCONO DRIVING SCHOOL IS FULL!!SORRY, BUT WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY MORE DRIVERS. Saturday, April 23rd. Spring Carlisle. The CVCC vendor site will be where we will have the Raffle Car and plan to sell many, many tickets.
