OCTOBER --  MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING

                      October 7th, 2004

The meeting was called to order by President Sandoe.

The Secretaries report for August was accepted.  A motion was made by J. Glatfelter, seconded by M. Hurley and passed by a voice vote to accept the report for September.

The Treasurer’s report for August was accepted.  A motion was made by D. Marteny, seconded by L. Kiser and passed by a voice vote.

D. Walter gave the Governors Report.

Oct. 30th YCCC Concours

Governors Meeting Oct. 23rd.

Sign-up sheets for the Holiday Party were passed around at the meeting.  If you are interested in going contact Faye or Joan.

M. Hurley has the club lanyard’s, which finally came in.  They are $2:00 ea.  He is also the person to contact for club name tags.

Las Vegas Trip:   The Travel Agent is Carlson Wagonlit Travel

Price: $505.66 per person

This includes 4 nights at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Air Fare (both are direct flights), baggage handling in the hotel, round trip shuttle service to Las Vegas airport. And if we get enough people, bus to Balltimore airport from the Carlisle Plaza Mall.  A deposit of $103.00 per person is due to the agency by 10/22.  Anyone can go.  So if you have a friend or relative they are welcome to go.  I also need a list of everyone who is going.  The address and phone number of the travel agency was put on e-mail to everyone.  If you did not get it please feel free to call me.  Judy.

B. Parr, 1977 yellow coupe, sponsored by R. Hamilton.  A motion was made by N. Flynn, seconded by M. Stouffer, passed by a voice vote to accept him into the club.

E. Rice, 1974 white coupe, sponsored by R. Hamilton.  A motion was made by H. Shenk, seconded by D. Marteny, passed by a voice vote to accept him into the club.

R. Smith, 1997 Nassau Blue coupe, sponsored by D. Crone.  A motion was made by D. Chronister, seconded by T. Sandoe, passed by a voice vote to accept him into the club.

S. Novinger, 1967 blue coupe, sponsored by K. Novinger.  A motion was made by K. Priestner, seconded by K. Stanley, passed by a voice vote to accept her into the club.

J. & J. Lohman, 2000 pewter coupe, sponsored by K. Cless.  A motion was made by S. Walter, seconded by M. Ludt, passed by a voice vote to accept the Lohman’s into the club.

S. Gutshall, 1996 blue coupe, sponsored by S. Gutshall.  A motion was made by S. Stoltzfus, seconded by G. Wolf and passed by a voice vote to accept him into the club.

R. & C. Anstine, 1994 green convertible, sponsored by the Wable's.  A motion was made by R. Wable, seconded by J. Priestner, passed by a voice vote to accept the Anstine’s into the club.

WELCOME ABOARD EVERYONE!

The Club wishes to thank the Zullinger's for a great job again at the H&H Show.  Theyu have since resigned from doing this event.  We appreciate their time in doing this show.  E. Hare is thinking about taking over for them.

The Club also wants to thank the Hare's for hosting the get together after the H&H Show.  We really appreciate their time in putting this together.

Mini Grand Prix -  C. Strayer thanked everyone that helped him with this event.  Especially  G. Miller, K. Sandoe and J. McCarthy.  They really took Carl under their wings and showed him the ropes of running a grand prix.

O.C. Weekend – We have 28 rooms blocked for next year at the Dunes Motor Lodge.  Their should not be a mix-up when reserving these rooms this time.  D. Marteny made a motion which was seconded by M. Ludt to go back to the Dunes Motor Lodge next year.  For prices contact B. Grove.

We have the raffle car inspected.  Rufe Chevrolet did this for us at no cost.  The car is now ready to be towed to parades.

Nominations are finalized for the election of Officers and Board Members for next year.  Voting will be at the NOVEMBER Membership meeting.  Please plan to attend.

A motion was made by M. Hurley, seconded by T. Hecker for CVCC to donate $500.00 to the Kara Hartmoyer trust fund.  Kara is B. Bowen’s granddaughter whose father was killed last month in the traffic accident.  The motion was passed by a voice vote.  If you would like to donate to her trust fund the address was in last month’s newsletter or contact Ken or Bob.

CLUB DUES ARE NOW DUE!

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by R. Wolf, seconded by R. Wolf and passed by everyone.

OCTOBER --  MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

October 19th, 2004

 

The Board Meeting was held at Ye Olde Ale House in Mechanicsburg.

President Ken Sandoe opened the meeting.

Marlin reported a very good Rufe Show.  He will give details at monthly meeting.

Our dates have been approved for the Pocono Driving School.  April 23 rd. & 24 th., 2005.

Ken is having trouble sending some e-mails.  If you are not receiving e-mails from him please leave him know.  Also check the club directory to see if the mail address is correct for your name.  He has had quite a few coming back to him as undeliverable.

The Elk’s is booked solid through the end of the year.  We are looking into other places to have our Awards Banquet.  Judy is checking with Sunnyside restaurant.  Will have info. at monthly meeting.

ABC East Bowling is having an event April 3rd for Autistic Children and has asked for Corvettes to show the children.  Dave has information.

Keith checking with Hooter’s  for show.  He is also checking with J. Pharo to see about doing autox’s at his lot.

The blue shirts that you gave Ken orders for are in.  You must pick them up at the November meeting.  After November Ken will sell them to anyone who would like one.

A motion was made and approved by the board to let J. McCarthy upgrade the computer software for the web site.

The meeting was adjourned.  The next Board Meeting will be held November 16 at Ye Old Ale House in Mechanicsburg at 7:00 P.M.
