WELCOME TO THE NEW MEMBERS!

October 23 is the day planned by our social committee to attend the Renaissance Fair in Mt. Joy.  Price $34.95 per person.  Faye or Joan must have your money by September 2nd  if you are planning to attend this event.

Thanks to George and EJ for holding the new member mixer.  It was well attended and helpful for the new people.

Good attendance for the Carlisle Summer Fair Parade.  We did have a small problem though.  One of our members ran out of gas before the parade started.  At the monthly meeting he was presented with a card showing what a full tank looks like on his gage and a can of gas.

40th Anniversary Car chairman Marlin reported on the latest happenings .  The car was purchased and was at the monthly meeting for all to see.  We will be ordering the tickets soon.  Rufe Chevrolet is paying for the tickets and a sign to carry with the car when we trailer it to the different events.  He will be calling those of you who volunteered to be on the committee for a meeting shortly.

The meeting was adjourned by a motion made by Ron W. and seconded by Karen P.

Respectfully Submitted,

JULY --  MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

July 20th, 2004

The meeting was called to order by President Sandoe.

The Board met at Ye Old Ale House in Mechanicsburg.

The board wishes to thank EJ & George for hosting the New Member Mixer.  There was a lot of work put into this and most everyone showed that signed for this event.  EJ cooked all day for everyone and as usual the food was great.

The board also wants to thank Mike & Tracy for having all of us for the annual July Picnic Meeting.  Mike & Tracy worked very hard to accommodate all of us.  I almost forgot, the boy’s worked hard too.

Mini Grand Prix:  This is being held as you all know at the Masonic Lodge in Elizabethtown, Pa.  It is a big event for the Masons.  They expect to have about 40,000 people there, needless to say Carl is going to really need help.  If you can help please contact Carl.

Hooter’s Show:  Everything is set for this show.  30 cars have pre-registered.  PLEASE if you can, come to this show for the club.  We would like to have a good turn out so we can do this again next year.  This will not be a long day because we have to be out by early afternoon.  You can register at the show also.

Car Raffle:  Committee meeting Thursday July 22 to get things going.  We are applying for a games of chance license which is $100.00 per year.  We will apply again next year also.

he meeting was adjourned and the next board meeting will be held August 17th at Ye Olde Ale House in Mechanicsburg at 6:3o P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Judy
