MARCH --  MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING

MARCH 4th, 2004

The monthly meeting was opened by Vice President Ludt in President Sandoe’s absence.

A motion was made by Larry, seconded by Bob and passed by a voice vote to accept the secretaries minutes for the month of February.

Gary gave the Treasurer's report.  A motion was made by Ken, seconded by Harold and passed by a voice vote to accept the Treasurers report .

Dave gave the Governors report.

All sanctioned events are on the NCCC web site as well as the registration forms. April 18th Bel Air double autox G-Burg  a double concours.  Dave has the flyers on this and other events.

NCCC convention in Las Vegas beginning of June.

Bud gave a club Founders Report.

Lynn gave the Cruisers and Waxers Report.

FIRST READING:

Richard and Rena, 2004 Magnetic Red coupe, sponsored by Jim & Rita.

SECOND READINGS:

Robert, 1989 Burgandy coupe, sponsored by Marlin & Judy.  A motion was made by Mike, seconded by Sally, passed by a voice vote to accept Bob into the club.

Jerry, 2006 blue Z06, sponsored by Ted.  A motion was made by Dave, seconded by Neil, passed by a voice vote to accept Jerry into the club.

        WELCOME ABOARD!

Rita gave the social committed report.  May 15th is the Inner Harbor event $42.00 per person.  Sign-up sheet will be passed around in April.

The Spina Bifida fly-in is May 1st.  A motion was made by Dave, seconded by Bob, and passed by a voice vote to present Spina Bifida with our annual check.

May 9th is the SCCA AutoX at Pharo’s Truck Stop.  Exit 29 off 81 south.

Julu 25th is a Triple AutoX at Pharo’s Truck Stop.

Keith reported on his Summer Cruise which is July 31 and August 1.  Flyer in newsletter (and on web site calendar).

Don’t forget to bring a gift to the awards banquet.  One per person.

Rufe Chevrolet show April 10th.  Ed chairperson.  Ed has registration forms if you would like one ahead of time.  Please don’t forget to get your pictures (when you were younger) to Ed if you plan to attend this show.  He would also like items for the silent auction.  Get them to Ed asap.

Drag Races with Mason Dixon Club at the Mason Dixon Dragway,  Saturday April 17th 8:00 a.m. until noon.  $50.00 per car.  Rain date May 15th.  The club has put a $250.00 deposit down to attend this event.  We have offered this event to other clubs.  Will have time trials, grudge runs, and top gun awards.  There was a sign up sheet at the meeting and should be one at the April meeting.

Pocono school is full.  9 people on waiting list.  Have workers.  We are ready to go. 

Hooters show set for August 7th.  More info to follow.

  EJ still working on a cruise to DEI in North Carolina.  She is waiting for a reply from them.

MARCH --  MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

March 16, 2004

Ken called the March Board meeting to order.

The Board meeting was held at Ye Olde Ale House in Mechanicsburg.

Awards Banquet:  Most everything set for this event.  Don’t forget to bring a gift along if you are attending.

Rufe Show:  Ed is set for this event.  Still would like to have things for silent auction and pictures of those participants when you were younger.

Mason Dixon Drags:  We have 4 people from the club signed up for this event.  There were 16 hands raised when asked about this event.   So come on people lets get signed up and money to Dave.

Pocono Driving School:   Dave will be making up directions for the new club members who are attending this event.  He will have them at the April meeting.

The July Picnic Meeting:  This meeting will be held at the home of the Hecker's on Thursday, July 1st at 6:30 P.M.  Everyone is to bring a covered dish.

The Board recommends the club match last years donation to Spina Bifida which was $800.00.  This check will be given at the Fly-in in May.

Our club copier is broken.  The board recommended we get it fixed if possible.  If not Dave is to look into getting a new one.

We still have the soap box derby car.  If anyone knows of someone who can use this, please contact Marlin so we can get rid of this car.

The board discussed the possibility of getting club jackets.

The next board meeting will be held at Ye Olde Ale House in Mechanicsburg, April 20th at 7:00 P.M.
