-- MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
JANUARY 8th, 2004
The meeting was called to order by
President Sandoe.
A motion was made by Mr. Chronister,
seconded by Mr. Wolf, passed by a voice vote to accept
the Secretary's minutes for December.
Treasurer Miller gave his report.
A motion was made by Mr. Ludt, seconded by Mr. Hecker,
passed by a voice vote to accept
the Treasurer's report.
Governor Walter gave the Governor's
report.
CPCC is hosting the Concours at the
Farm Show Building this year. The event is January
31st to February 1st. The Goveror has the flyers and
registration forms if you are intereted in doing this
show.
LCCC is having a Fun Show as part of
the Motorama at the Farm Show Building February 21st.
The cost is $10.00. Registration and money must be in
by February 1st. The Governor also has those
registration forms.
New Reading: Mr. Puerzer
sponsored by his father. 2003 Black Z06.
Social Chairperson Fahringer gave her
report for the Social Committee. We are going to
Bube's Brewery & Catacombs on April 16th. She
needs to have a count of how many plan to attend by the
February meeting. The Brewery needs to know by the
beginning of March. So, if you plan to attend, please
contact her. There was a sign-up at the January
meeting.
Ms. Crone has planned a trip to
Charlestown, WV. You must call to make your own
reservations by February. Flyer in Newsletter.
Will be meeting at the Gettysburg Outlet Mall.
Reminder: Our AWARDS BANQUET is
April 3rd. Details to follow.
POCONO DRIVING SCHOOL: We will be
staying at the Ramada Inn this year. If you plan on
going, you must make your reservations by the end of
January. Phone # 570-443-8471. Tell them you are
with the corvette club and this is your group #
G00013-65. $75.00 per night. The dates are
Friday April 23rd and Saturday April 24th. If you plan
on working, please contract Treasurer Miller. He will
have a sign-up sheet available at the February meeting.
The final tally on Club and NCCC Points
are available on our web site. If you do not have
access to them and want a copy, contact Vice President Ludt.
Also contact him or President Sandoe with any corrections.
April 17th is the Rufe Chevrolet Fun
Show.
Speaking of Rufe Chevrolet, the owner
has asked me to announce they are getting in a commemorative
edition Corvette. It is a 6 speed convertible
loaded. Just in case someone is interested in
purchasing it.
Mr. Grove is checking on lodging for
Ocean City Weekend. The hotel we usually stay in is
booked solid with another party not related to the
Corvette Show. More information to follow.
There was a discussion concerning
having another Corvette raffle in 2005 to celebrate CVCC's
40th Anniversary. Perhaps we should start looking into
obtaining a 40th anniversary Corvette.
Congratulations to Mr. Hurley who was
given an Outstanding Citizen award for his help with events
in Carlisle.
We also want to CONGRATULATE Karen and
Jack on their recent engagement. The wedding
will be sometime in June or July.

JANUARY
-- MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
JANUARY 20, 2004
The
Board meeting was held at the Olde Ale House in
Mechanicsburg.
President
Sandoe opened the meeting.
Jeff
Harris was a guest at the meeting.
He designed our Pocono shirts and brought some
samples of items he can do for us.
I will have visor samples at the monthly meeting if
anyone is interested in having any.
He also brought a book of jacket samples.
We have been discussing getting club jackets again.
We hope to have a sample of the Pocono shirt at the
next meeting.
Holiday
Party – Joan and company did a wonderful job.
We enjoyed ourselves.
The music was excellent and the actors were great.
Thanks to Joan for a fun evening.
The
photos of the Holiday Party are on the web site.
The
date for the spring Rufe Fun Show has been changed to April
10th. Mr.
Hare will chair
this event.
The
H&H Show will be September 11th.
Hooter’s
on the Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg has asked us to do a car
show. Date has
not been finalized yet.
Mason
Dixon Club wants to rent the Mason Dixon Drag Strip for an
event and wants us to do this with them. This will be discussed at the next monthly meeting.
We
will have a double AutoX at Pharo’s July 25.
More details to follow.
Awards
Banquet – The awards were discussed at length.
We have everything finalized now for this event.
The
next Board meeting will be held at the Olde Ale House
February 17th time changed to 7:00 P.M.
