Thursday, August 7th. Monthly CVCC membership meeting at the Elks in Carlisle starting at 7:30 PM. (PA-100) Saturday, August 9th. CVCC Summer Picnic. This is truly a family picnic. The pool opens around 1 PM. Brings your suits and kids. Food will be served around 5:00PM. The club will furnish the main entree. Please bring a covered dish (either a side dish or dessert). Also, bring a lawn chair. The picnic is at Dave and Sally's in Mechanicsburg. For those desiring directions, click on DIRECTIONS. (50) Tuesday, August 12th. Monthly CVCC Board meeting has been canceled. August 15th thru 21st. NCCC 44th National Convention in Hagerstown, Maryland. Monday/Tuesday, August 18th & 19th. CVCC will run the HIGH SPEED EVENT AT SUMMIT POINT during the NCCC National Convention. The club will need as many as 40 workers that day. Since this is a normal work day for many, CVCC is asking you to take some of your vacation on these two days to help the club. Some members will be staying overnight at the Townhouse Motor Lodge adjacent the Charlestown Track. (Call 1-800-227-2339 or 1-304-725-8441 to reserve a room). If you have signed up, there is a WORKER ASSIGNMENT SHEET and a set of DIRECTIONS that may help you. (Click on either for a link to them.) (200 per day) August 22nd, 23rd, & 24th. Corvettes at Carlisle. (50 per day) Saturday, August 23rd. After the Corvette Parade through Carlisle, CVCC will be socializing at the Market Cross Pub in Carlisle. Email the President for more details on how to reserve space. Sunday, August 24th. CVCC Rallye as part of Corvettes at Carlisle.
