AUGUST -- MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The monthly meeting was opened by the
President.
A motion and second were made to accept
the Meeting Minutes of the July Membership Meeting.
A voice vote approved the motion.
The Treasurer reported the financial
activity of the club for July. A motion and second were made to accept the Treasurer's Report. A voice
vote approved the motion.
The Governor gave his report.
CVCC will not be helping YCCC this year
in the tabulating for the Concours at Corvettes at
Carlisle. They now have their own computer program.
The NCCC tent will be next to
ours in Carlisle this year. We will be helping
them. A sign up sheet was passed around, and we have
enough volunteers to help them. Our location is the
same as last year.
Workers helping with the High Speed
Event at the NCCC: When you arrive at the gate, please
tell them you are a High Speed Worker. They will check
their sheet and tell you where to go.
The governor has flyers for the
upcoming events: AutoX, Concours, etc. Contact
him if interested (or visit the "Calendar" page on
the CVCC web site).
The Cruisers and Waxers report was
given.
There were two First Readings (one
single and one couple). There were no Second Readings.
Social Committee: The Social
Chairperson reported on the trip for December 6th and
7th. We are going to Wellsboro, PA, to attend "A
Dickens of a Christmas". The cost is $134.00 per
person. She must have the money by October 17th.
Please contact the Social Chairperson if you are interested
in going.
The Social Chairperson also reported
that the Holiday Party is set for January 10th. More
info to follow later on this event. She also mentioned
a few trips for 2004. Come to the meetings to hear
about these.
Old Business:
We had 66 cars for the SCCA autoX at
Pharo's truck stop. Good turn out. Thanks to all
the workers for helping and a special thanks again to John
Pharo for letting us use his parking lot.
We had a very good turn out for the
tour of Chip's Corvette collection. It was very
interesting, and Chip was a very gracious host. Chip
is now an honorary member of CVCC for life. He was
presented with a shirt from CVCC as well as a membership
card. Thanks to Chip for having us.
A sign up sheet was sent around the
meeting for a list of names of club members who will be
going after the H&H Show to the social. If you
plan to go and weren't at the meeting, please see the
newsletter to contact them.
Next few events: Ocean City
Oct 3,4, & 5
Rufe Chevrolet Show Oct 25th
In November we will again be going to
Penn National Race Track for an evening out. Date TBA
later.
Club watches are in, and Bud is still
taking orders for more.
Thanks to Warrington Farms for
supplying the meat for July's Picnic Meeting. We had
81 Club members attending, so we had over 100 people
there. This is really great.
A motion was made and seconded for CVCC
to buy shirts for the workers at the NCCC Convention.
The motion passed on a voice vote.
We will also be selling raffle tickets
for the Corvette Quilt, which has been made by two club
members, of which one is the CVCC Secretary. The
drawing will be held on Oct 25th at the Rufe Chevrolet
Show. $1.00 per ticket. See the CVCC
Secretary for raffle tickets.
There WILL NOT be a board
meeting this month. This is because we discussed
everything at this monthly meeting, and the week of the
board meeting is the week of NCCC Convention and Corvettes
of Carlisle. The September board meeting will be at
the home of the Vice President and Secretary.
A motion and second were made to
adjourn. A voice vote approved the motion.
Respectfully submitted,
CVCC Secretary
P.S. Don't forget that
nominations for club officers and board members will be on
the agenda for both the September and October monthly
membership meetings.

AUGUST -- MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
Because of the conflict with the High Speed Event at
Summit Point, the Board Meeting for the month of August has
been canceled.
