JULY -- MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The monthly meeting was opened by the
President.
A motion and second were made to accept
the Meeting Minutes of the June Membership Meeting.
A voice vote approved the motion.
The Treasurer reported the financial
activity of the club for June. A motion and second were made to accept the Treasurer's Report. A voice
vote approved the motion.
The Governor gave his report.
The Governor posted the NCCC standings for
the club and individuals for everyone to see.
The club still needs workers for the
NCCC Convention at the Summit Point race track on August
18th and 19th. Contact the Governor if you can
help.
The Governor reminded everyone that the
events at Corvettes at Carlisle (i.e., YCCC Concours and
CVCC Rallye) will be awarding Eastern Region points but not
national points.
The Governor mentioned that there will
be a Fall Cruise on October 19th. We will be starting
from the Chambersburg area. More info. to follow.
The Cruisers and Waxers report was
given. A copy will be in the newsletter.
The President reminded everyone to
please don't forget to sign up for the H&H Show and to
please sign up by August 30th. There is limited space,
but club members can still sign up the day of the show for
the same price.
After the H&H show the club is
invited to a member's home for a picnic, but this year it
will be for club members only.
Ocean City weekend is October 4, 5, 6
this year. If you plan to attend, call for your
reservations ASAP. The Dunes is where most of the club
will be staying.
Two of our club members have made a
Corvette quilt. It will be raffled off at the Rufe
Show in October. They will start selling the tickets
at Corvette's at Carlisle.
The President would like anyone who is
not on our e-mail list and wishes to be to contact him with
your e-mail address.
I would like to thank those of you who
sent cards and flowers to me during my recent surgery.
A special thanks to the members who sent the goodie bag to
me. It was a clever idea which I enjoyed. Judy.
The President thanked the Vice
President and Secretary for hosting the picnic meeting
tonight. In turn, our hosts thanked those who helped
prepare for the July Picnic Meeting, especially Mr. and Mrs.
Treasurer -- Gary for cooking and Nancy helping get the
table's ready. It was greatly appreciated.
A motion was put to the club to
purchase four new folding tables. Our tables are in
such bad shape that we really need new ones. A motion
was made and seconded and passed by a voice vote to buy the
tables.
A motion and second were made to
adjourn. A voice vote approved the motion.

JULY -- MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
The Board meeting was held at the home
of Jack on July 15th and opened by the President. Nine
of the officers and board members were present.
June 21st Picnic & Rallye - We had a good
turnout despite some rain. Rallye was fun and run in a
timely manner. Feedback from the club was that
everyone had a good time.
Tour of Chip's Corvette Collection - We will
meet Thursday July 24th at Weis Market in Carlisle at 6:00
PM.
Dave & Sally's Annual Club Family Picnic -
Everything is ready for this event. Don't forget to
bring a covered dish to share. Directions will be in
the newsletter (and on this web site by clicking DIRECTIONS.)
NCCC Convention - Dave is set
with workers. Everything is ready.
Dave is also ready with the Rallye for
Corvettes at Carlisle.
Fall Cruise - This event is October 19th.
Jack will be chairing this event. We will meet in
Chambersburg (location to be announced) and go to Mike
McCall's Corvette collection.
Rufe Chevrolet Show - We are looking for items
for the live auction. Club members who own your own
business, please donate something for this. The money
we get goes to a good cause. I f you have something to
donate, contact the Vice President or Chair. The
Funkhana at Rufe this year will be a sanctioned event.
Club members who come to show your car and participate in
anyway will receive 200 points for the day.
NEWSLETTER - There will be a sign up sheet at
the August meeting. If you want to continue to receive
the newsletter in the mail, please come and sign this
sheet. We will be discontinuing the newsletter to
those of you who have e-mail starting with the August
newsletter. We have been asking for months for you to
contact the President and leave him know if you would be
willing to receive the newsletter by e-mail, about 14 people
have done this. We must cut the cost of mailing.
The meeting was adjourned by the
President. The next Board Meeting will be held July
15th at the home of Jim and Sally at 7:30 PM..
