The monthly meeting was opened by the President.

The Treasurer reported the financial activity of the club for May.  A motion and second were made to accept the Treasurer's Report.  A voice vote approved the motion.

The Governor gave his report.  Wednesday, June 18th at 3:00 P.M. arrangements have been made to meet with the track people at Summit Point.  If you are interested in going, contact the Governor.  There is also an event at Summit Point on June 21 & 22.  If you would like to go there to see what the track is like and what everything for our part at the convention is about, the 22nd would be a good day to go.  You can work a corner this day for the event they are having.  Be there at 7:00 A.M.  (Saturday the 21st is our club picnic.)  Contact the Governor.

Summit Point -- For those wishing to drive on a daily basis, we will meet at the Elk's 4:30 or 5:00 A.M. to go down.  More info. to follow.

Summit Point -- For those wishing to stay overnight, it is suggested to contact the Town House Motor Lodge, which is across from the entrance to Charlestown Race Track.  Rooms are around $53.00 per night.  Phone 800-227-2339.

A Cruisers and Waxers report was given and a copy should be in the newsletter.

There were no First Readings.  There were three Second Readings (two singles and one couple) of potential new members.  Upon motions and seconds from the floor, a voice vote accepted these new members into the club.  WELCOME ABOARD.

A report was given by the Chair of the Spring Cruise.  He had 20 cars, didn't lose anyone and we all had a good time.  Our destination to eat was the Sunnyside Restaurant in Carlisle.  Excellent choice.

Thanks to our Chair for arranging the event at Allenberry Playhouse.  We all had a wonderful time, the play was great as well as the buffet.

The Club wants to thank John for permitting the club to use Pharo's Truck Stop for our autoX.  The event went off without any major problems.  Thanks to Keith for acquiring the lot for us---and thanks also to the club workers who come to help us.

Don't forget the JULY monthly meeting will be held at the home of our Vice President and Secretary, as a picnic meeting.  Bring your favorite covered dish.  Meat and drinks will be provided.  Directions are in the newsletter (and on the web on the Calendar page).

July 2nd is the Carlisle Summer Fair Parade.  We are invited to attend again this year.  We meet in the Weis Store parking lot on the corner of High & Spring Garden streets at 6:30 P. M. for those who would like to participate.

July 20th is our AutoX with the SCCA people.  Again this will be held at Pharo's Truck Stop, exit 29 of I81 South.  We will need corner workers as well as other help.  Be there at 7:00 A.M.

Judy & Larry need people with knowledge of computers to back us up in case we can't be there to run the timing equipment and also to give us a break when needed.  If you would like to help us, please contact Judy or Larry.

H&H Show is September 6th.  Last month I was told to put into the minutes that club members had to sign up by August 1st.  Don has advised it is August 31st.  So come on members attend this fun event and support the club.

We have a volunteer who is working on a Fall Cruise for us.  More info. to follow.

A motion was made and seconded and passed by a voice vote to find someone interested in running the soap box derby car that we have acquired and donating the car.  If you know of anyone, please contact the Vice President.

A motion and second was made to adjourn.  A voice vote approved the motion.

Respectfully submitted,

CVCC Secretary

JUNE --  MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

The Board meeting was held at the home of Mike and Elaine's on June 17th and opened by the President.  Seven of the officers and board members were present.

Next AutoX at Pharo's Truck Stop:  We are again asking for the Club's help at this event.  As the Governor said at the monthly meeting, we need help to set up Saturday and workers for the event on Sunday.  The dates are Saturday July 19th around 5:00 and Sunday July 20th you should be there at 7:00 AM.  Please contact the Governor Dave if you wish to help out the Club.

Annual Summer Picnic:  This fun event is always held at the home of Dave and Sally.  It will be held on August 9th.  This is for the whole family.  Bring your kids, grandkids, bathing suits, covered dish (the beverages and steak entree will be provided so this should be a side dish or dessert) and have a fun time.  Directions and times will be in the newsletter.

NCCC Convention:  We have only 18 people signed up to be workers for the convention.  Now we have almost 200 people in this club.  We need more help.  The Concours is held on Sunday August 17th.  Our club has been chosen by NCCC to work at the high speed events that are to be held on Monday August 18th and Tuesday August 19th.  Please contact our Governor Dave if you are willing to help YOUR Club out.

A suggestion was made by one of the Club members to raffle the soap box car at Corvettes at Carlisle if we don't get rid of it by then.

The Board asked Bill Grove and Ron Hamilton to check with the Elk's on dates for the Awards Banquet next year.  April 3rd and 17th have been chosen.

The President has checked with Chip on a date for touring his collection of cars.  The date is July 24th.  This tour is for Club Members only.  There will be a sign up sheet at the July meeting.  This is the only time you will have to sign up, so if you are interested be at the July meeting to do so.  We will meet and go as a group from the Weis Store in Carlisle, corner of High & Spring Garden Streets at 6:00 PM.

The meeting was adjourned by the President.  The next Board Meeting will be held July 15th at the home of Jack.

Respectfully submitted,

CVCC Club Secretary
