MAY --  MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The monthly meeting was opened by the President.

A motion and second were made to accept the Meeting Minutes of the April Membership Meeting.  A voice vote approved the motion.

The Treasurer reported the financial activity of the club for April.  A motion and second were made to accept the Treasurer's Report.  A voice vote approved the motion.

The Governor gave his report.  June 1st is CVCC AutoX at Pharo's Truck Stop.  This is located off exit 29 of interstate 81 south.  Our club will run in the morning from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. and we will have instructors available.  We will also need corner workers for the afternoon session.

June 7th BCCC Concours.

June 7th PCCC Concours at Rechester Chevrolet.

June 14th is CPCC's Concours at Forbes Chevrolet.

June 15th CVCNE is having a triple AutoX.

June 21st LCCC Concours.

The governor has flyers for all of these events.  (They are also posted on the CVCC Web site on the "Calendar" page for the month of June.)  

There were three First Readings (two singles and one couple).  There was one Second Reading (one couple) of potential new members.  Upon motions and seconds from the floor, a voice vote accepted these new members into the club.  WELCOME ABOARD.

If you don't have our club name tag, you can contact the club to order one.  See the newsletter for the chairperson and telephone number to order a name tag.

For those of you who are going with us to Allenberry Playhouse on May 30th, be  there by 5:30 to pick up your tickets from the club in front of the box office.  Then it's dinner and show, which is "Honky Tonk Angels".

We discussed briefly the success of the Awards Banquet.  It was a fun time for all.  Our chairpersons did a great job again this year.

The Pocono Driving School was also a success.  We thank our Governor and better half for organizing this event.  In turn, they thanked all the club members who turned out to help them.

We are looking for someone to volunteer to chair the Fall Cruise.  If you wish to volunteer, please leave the President know.

June 14th is the Chambersburg Cruise-In.  Flyers were available at the meeting.  (These flyers are also posted on the CVCC web site on the "Calendar" page for June.)

June 21st is our annual Picnic and Rallye at the home of our newsletter editors.  If you plan to attend, please bring a desert.  Also leave our chairperson know what you are bringing.  The rallye is being planned and will be held in the early afternoon.

July 20th is our sanctioned autoX with the SCCA people.

August is the NCCC Convention.  The club is in charge of the High Speed AutoX.  WE NEED WORKERS to help with this event.  If you are willing to help the club, please contact our Governor.  The Club points for working those two days is 200 per day per person.

Please contact the Vice President who has flag holders for C5's and C4's.  $5.00 per set.

The Elk's Club is having golf outings on June 19th and August 14th and a third sometime in September or October for charity.  They are looking for sponsors for those of you who wish to be one.  The price is $100.00.  You may also participate in the tournaments.  A motion was made and seconded and passed by a voice vote to have the Club be a sponsor.

Orders for Club watches are now being taken.  See or call Bud.

One of our members who also belongs to Mason Dixon invited CVCC to the Mason Dixon Corvette Club's Picnic on June 28th at Hoffman Chevrolet.  They will eat at 2:00 P. M.  Cost is $8.00 per person.  Please reserve by June 1st.

A motion and second was made to adjourn.  A voice vote approved the motion.

MAY --  MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

The Board meeting was held at the home of the Vice President and Secretary on May 20th and opened by the President.  All officers and board members were present.

Payment for Pocono Workers:  The Board agreed to pay the workers $20.00 per quarter for working Saturday and Sunday.

Massanutten Trip:  The President reported it was a nice time and everyone enjoyed it.

June Picnic and Rallye:  This picnic is June 21st at the home of the newsletter editors.  The first car out in the rallye will be 12:00 Noon.  We will eat around 4:00.  Please bring your favorite dessert.  Flyer in newsletter.

July Picnic Meeting:  July Monthly Meeting.  This is a Picnic meeting.  It will be held Tuesday, July 1st at the home of the Vice President and Secretary.  Directions in newsletter.  (Ed. Note:  Also, here on the web site, go to the "Calendar" for July and click on "Directions" for the directions to their home.)  Bring a covered dish to share.  Meat and drinks will be provided as well as paper and plastic products.  The time is 7:00 instead of 7:30.

NCCC Convention:  The governor reported on this a little.  We need to get on to the track on a week day to check it out to see where the best place would be to setup our timing equipment.  He will coordinate this.  Workers -- you should be at the track on the day of the events at 7:00 AM.  We have to be off the track by 5:00 PM.

H&H Show:  The chair for this event is providing us with registration forms for this show which is in September.  He would like all club members who plan to attend this event to pre-register by August 31st.  He needs to know how many club members plan to attend.

Club Points:  The Vice President will have the points list available for those wishing to have them at the next monthly meeting.  They will also be on our club web site.  (Ed. Note:  Go to the web page "2003 In Review" and click on any one of the five pages listed.)
