order day passes for the Convention. Contact the
Governor on this; he has the request forms. These
passes are not for competition events, just to enter the
grounds. The Governor also reminded everyone that all upcoming
NCCC Sanctioned events for the Eastern
Region are on our web site (Go to the Calendar.)
You can check there for information on the the events you wish to do. If
you do not have access to the web, contact the Governor for
the flyers and other info.
There was one First Reading (one couple) but

WELCOME ABOARD.
When we have the 50/50 drawing, we
usually draw two tickets. We are now going to draw a
third ticket. Each month we will put $10.00 into the
pot. When we draw the number, if you are wearing your
NAME TAG, you will win the money. If that person is
not wearing their name tag, the money goes into the pot for
the next month, then you could win $20.00. It will be
a progressive pot. So if you do not have a name tag,
contact any officer who will notify you of whom to contact
to obtain a name tag.
The trip to Massanutten is May 3rd and
4th. We are meeting at Exit 5 off I81 south
(Waynesboro/Greencastle) right off exit to light. Left
at light, meeting in parking lot of the Buckhorn Restaurant.
Allenberry Play and Dinner May
30th. Money due now.
Judged & Fun Show at Rufe Chevrolet
March 8th. We had a good show despite the cold
weather. We were very pleased with the turnout from
our own club members. The Chairperson thanked everyone
for their help and gave special thanks to two members for
all their help to make the show the success that it was.
A sign-up sheet was passed around by
the Treasurer asking for workers at the Pocono Driving
School. We are short workers. If you can help,
please contact the Treasurer.
On June 14th there is going to be an
air show at the Capital City Airport. They would like
to have Corvettes there. Gates open at 8:00, stay
until 3 or 3:30. CPCC is also having a concours that
day.
Spina Bifida Fly-In is May 3rd at the
Capital City Airport. Be at the airport by 10:00.
A sign-up sheet was passed around for
the Spring Cruise which is planned for May 10th. If

any officer. Please reserve soon; a count is needed
for the restaurant.
June 1st is the double sanctioned autoX
at Pharo's Truck Stop. From 8-11 AM, club members can
try their hand at auto crossing. This will be a
non-competitive instructional time period to permit you to
learn and/or fine tune your autoX skills. In the
afternoon all Corvette's will be running in the two
competition events. A motion and second were made for
the club to invest in six regulation helmets with the amount
not to exceed $700.00. The motion passed on a voice

rallye on June 21st at the home of the newsletter editor(s).
Chairpersons have been appointed to organize the rallye.
The President thanked everyone who
helped him with the Mini Grand Prix's throughout the years
he was co-ordinator. The Mini GP's have been canceled
because of lack of funding for them.
A motion and second were made to have
the Holiday Party again at the Raddison and to put a $100.00
deposit to hold our room.
The October Club meeting is changed to
Thursday, October 9th to avoid a conflict with Ocean City
weekend which is October 3rd, 4th and 5th. Most people
leave the Wednesday or Thursday before to make it a long
weekend.
Club watches are still for sale.
Only men's watches are in stock. Unfortunately, the
batteries in these watches are dead. The price is now
$6.00 because of the dead batteries. More watches can
be ordered if enough members are interested in sending in an
order.
The Vice President announced that he
needs six cars for the Memorial Day Parade in
Carlisle. The six are for Elk members. Contact
the Vice President if you want to participate.
Email the President if you have
interest in going to the 50th Anniversary Celebration in
Nashville. If there are enough people going, we could
caravan together.
The Governor has a flyer from the
Skyline Drive Corvette Club about a twilight show June
12th. If interested, contact the Governor.

for the cocktail hour before the banquet.
Pocono Driving School: The
chairman reported he has everything ready for this event and
asked permission from the Board to buy munchies for the
people who come in to register at the hospitality
room. The track will be set up on Friday from 5 to 8
PM. The first car out will be at 8:00 AM Saturday.
Club Helmets: The helmets
have been ordered and the cost is less than the $700.00
approved by the Club.
Spring Cruise: (See the
flyer provided in the "Calendar" for the name of
the chairman and for further information.) The Spring
Cruise is May 10th. We will meet at the Carlisle
K-Mart on the Walnut Bottom Road at 2:00 PM. If you
would like to go, contact the chairman listed in the flyer
or see him at the next club meeting. He needs to have
a count of how many for the restaurant.
We have been discussing at the monthly
meetings about reducing the cost of the Newsletter. We
need your co-operation to do this. Ken has sent
e-mails to everyone that we have e-mail for, so please let
him know if you will be willing to read the newsletter on
our web site instead of having it mailed to you. Of
course, those people who do not have e-mail, it will still
be mailed to you. He has had a response from about 14
people. Please respond to Ken ASAP.
The Board discussed club points for
workers and participants at the NCCC Convention in
Hagerstown. The points will be 200 per day.
Respectfully submitted,
CVCC Club Secretary
