FEBRUARY --  MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The monthly meeting was opened by the President.

A motion and second was made to accept the Meeting Minutes of the January Membership Meeting.  A voice vote approved the motion.

The Treasurer reported the financial activity of the club for January.  A motion and second was made to accept the Treasurer's Report.  A voice vote approved the motion.

The Governor reported the upcoming competition schedule for the Eastern Region.  (This can be found on the Calendar.)  A motion and second was made to accept the Governor's Report.  A voice vote approved the motion.

George Gallant from the East Region was present to clue us in as to what to expect at the Convention in Hagerstown.  Our club is working the high speed event, which will be on Monday and Tuesday of the week of the Convention.  Contact the Governor if you want to work the event.  George also had the shirts for workers as well as convention shirts.

There were 13 Second Readings for new members.  Motions and seconds were made by club members to admit all 13 into the club.  A voice vote approved all motions.  Welcome Aboard Everyone!!

CVCC is planning on going to Allenberry for dinner and the play "Honky Tonk Angels" on May 30th.  If you haven't signed up for this event, contact the Social Committee Chairperson.  She must have your reservations and money by April 28th.

Workers are needed for our Double Sanctioned show at Rufe Chevrolet on March 8th.  If you have not signed up for this, please contact the event chairperson

We have 83 entrants to date for the Pocono Driving School.  This is the last call for Club entrants.

June 1st is our double sanctioned AutoX for Corvettes only.  More info. to follow.

June 14th is the Downtown Chambersburg Show this year.  More info. to follow.

June 21st is our annual Picnic/Rallye.

REMINDER THAT THE JULY MEETING IS CHANGED TO WEDNESDAY, JULY 2nd.  IT WILL AGAIN BE HELD AT A MEMBER'S HOME (SEE NEWSLETTER FOR LOCATION) AND NOT AT THE ELK'S.  BRING A COVERED DISH.

A member has been in touch with Eckler's.  Anyone who purchases from them by phone or on their web site will have One Percent of the sale rebated back to the club.  For further information, view our web site Eckler's.

We need two cars for the Fox 43 parade in York.  Contact the chairperson if you can help.

FEBRUARY --  MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

The monthly meeting was opened by the President.

Holiday Party:  The Board discussed the success of the Holiday Party and tentatively approved a $100 deposit for next year -- same location.  The subject will be brought before the membership.

March 8 Double Sanction:  The Board discussed the plans for the Double sanction.  The chair of the event displayed samples of the trophies and reported plans are progressing well with approximately 22 pre-registered cars.  He also reported that helpers will be needed for the double sanction.  He reminded the Board that a workers dinner meeting is being held on Wednesday night, February 26, at the Bonanza in Carlisle.

Awards Banquet:  The chair of this event submitted the final costs for the meals.  The chicken dinner will $13 and the surf & turf will be $25.  Cocktail hour 6:00-7:00 PM; Dinner from 7:00-8:00 PM; Awards 8:00 PM; DJ and dancing to follow awards.

Pocono Driving School:  The chair of this event reported that the driving school is now full.  This will be noted on the website.  A waiting list will be kept.  The chair of the workers committee reported that we have a great turnout of workers for this event.

AutoX -- June 1st:  The Board discussed a possible practice session before the actual AutoX on June 1st.  Details will follow.

Gettysburg Show -- July 13:  The president reported on behalf of the chair of this event and said that the Mall officials changed the date of our event, which will not work with our schedule.  Therefore, the Board agreed not to pursue a show at Gettysburg at this time.

Newsletter Distribution:  The president reported on behalf of the newsletter editor and said that emailing the newsletter is not working as had been anticipated.  The Board is considering other options to help defray the cost of the newsletter.

Name Tags:  The Board discussed ways to encourage members to wear name tags.  Details will be finalized at a future Board meeting.

Adjournment:  With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
