JANUARY -- MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING The monthly meeting was opened by the President. A motion and second was made to accept the Meeting Minutes of the December Membership Meeting. A voice vote approved the motion. The Treasurer reported the financial activity of the club for December. A motion and second was made to accept the Treasurer's Report. A voice vote approved the motion. The CVCC President for the 2001 and 2002 thanked everyone for their support during his two years as club president. The Governor reported on the upcoming NCCC Convention and on the upcoming competition schedule for the Eastern Region. (This can be found on the Calendar.) The NCCC Convention is being held in Hagerstown, MD. Our club is doing the Low Speed AutoX on the main track at Jefferson Circuit. We will need help August 18th and 19th. If you are planning to help, there will be a sign up sheet closer to the time. The points for Corvettes at Carlisle will be regional points instead of sanctioned points because the points will be sanctioned at the Convention. February 1st is the YCCC Concours at the Farm Show Building in Harrisburg. You can set up Friday night or early Saturday morning. Info in YCCC flyer which is in the newsletter. There were 12 First Readings for new members. There were 9 Second Readings for new members. Motions and seconds were made by club members to admit all 9 into the club. A voice vote approved all motions. Welcome Aboard Everyone!! The Social Chair gave her report on some of the up coming events planned for this year. The Holiday Party is set for January 25th at the Raddison Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill. Dinner will be at 7:30 PM and the band will start at 8:15. Cocktails at 6:00. Atlantic City Car Show & Auction will be February 22 & 23. The Clarion Hotel is where the reservaions will be made. $103.00 per person. Flyer in newsletter. May 3 & 4 is the Cruise to Massanutten Resort. You must make reservations by April 4th. 1-800-909-8770 mention CVCC and the name of the Social Chair. May 30th is dinner and a plany at Allenberry Playhouse. February 10th is the Trip to LAS VEGAS. Hope everyone has paid the balance which was due December 6th. Departure times and directions were passed out at the meeting. If you didn't get one, please contact the chairperson of this event. March 8th will be a Double Sanctioned show at Rufe Chevrolet in Carlisle. It will be a Fun Show and a Judged Show. More info to follow. We will be having a spring AutoX June 1st. Location Exit 29 off 81 South. More info to follow. Pocono Driving School. Make your reservations at the Blakeslee Inn, April 26th & 27th. 570-646-1100. Mention CVCC. There are 12 rooms left. The annual Awards Banquest will be held April 19th at the Carlsle Elk's Lodge. The East Region awards will also be given out at this banquet. A motion and second was made to accept adjourn. JANUARY -- MONTHLY BOARD MEETING The monthly meeting was opened by the President. Rufe Judging School. The event chair reported that the school went very well and was very well attended. He would like to schedule another meeting the people who plan to help in March at the Double Sanctioned Show to be held at Rufe Chevrolet. He will set this up. He also discussed ordering the trophies for this show. This show is March 8th and pre-registration flyer is in the newsletter. The Atlantic City Trip has been canceled due to lack of interest. the board discussed the Awards Banquet and ordering trophies for this event also. If you have anything you like to put on or web site, please see that the Web Master gets those items. The AutoX for June 1st is confirmed. This will be held at Pharo's Truckstop off I81. More info to follow. The spring Picnic and Rallye was discussed. It will be held by the same members who held it last year. Please see newsletter for location. More info to follow on this. PLEASE NOTE: the July 3rd Monthly Membership Meeting has been changed to Wednesday, July 2nd because of the holiday. It will again be at the same location as last year.
